Nothing that a team of incarnates each with at least 2 level shifts, with 4 members being radiation debuffers, at least 2 kinetics and everyone have psi using Lore pets can't handle,

I just wanted to put a shout out here to thank all the folks who joined me for 4-for-4 Lambda badge runs this afternoon. (We re-ran the Antacid badge for some people who crashed the first time.) We had a great time doing it and typically had 4-5 minutes left on the timer when Marauder went down.

One more Master badge, done!

Edit: We even had some people who weren't level-shifted, and most people didn't have Seer Lore pets, that I could tell. We did have anywhere from 9-10 various debuffers/support at any given time, depending on who stuck around between runs.

the only thing that ive seen worse than the MO lambda badges are the MO keyes island badges as described in that other thread snow globe posted

Indeed...a challenge I don't mind. A challenge that borders on the absurd if not actually absurd I do mind. A badge that can be instantly lost because someone:

1. has bad lag spike that gets them killed
2. gets killed while their client is crashing and comes back dead
3. is too dense to follow instructions
4. decides to do a LEEROY JENKINS with their squishy alt thinking they will live
5. doesn't watch their blue power and their armors all drop due to stamina loss (seriously eat a blue and recheck that alts stamina slotting!)
6. or the person has a sickening level of unmitigated arrogance and refuses to follow instructions...

that kind of badge just isn't needed, and we have enough of them now. (Looks at the other Master badges)

not only that every 30 sec EVERY player gets hit with an unresistable dmg equal to half of their hp (or more depending on how dmged antimatter is), which means if said player has no healing powers they are screwed anyway

i was having this problem playing my ill/cold on test, every 2nd or 3rd antimatter beam i would die if i was anywhere other than basically following the empath or rad spamming their aoe heal because the only self heal power that guy has is hibernate from APP or green inspirations

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm seriously reconsidering my desire to obtain every badge that I possibly can. The new badge requirements are taking all the fun out of badging.

This requirement plus having two badge hunters also has taken a lot of the fun out of badging. My two badgers are at 1221 total, and only need badges that are currently unattainable and of course vet badges they don't yet have. Perhaps they need to hang up the badge hunting gear.

i only have 1 badge hunter, but lately with all these retarded badges its almost started to feel like a chore and not as much fun

hell it was more fun grinding out defeat badges than these trial badges

Indeed.....the one and only redside mish that only gave 3 outcast bosses at most that had to be constantly reset so that villains could get weatherman in the pre GR days seemed more fun then some of these. I'm just glad that my two main badgers and a couple of other alts picked up MoLambda.....I don't think I'll seek that intentionally on other alts.

The Partner badge for assisting 50 weekly task forces....meh. While 50 is doable, it still seems like a bit of a grind.

Still we shall see what happens, perhaps this new badge requirement will alter or else the trial will be adjusted.

It's not THAT bad. It's STUPID having to run it 3 times, but it's not terribly hard. I think this sets a really bad precedent. Isn't this the only Master badge so far that is impossible to get in a single run?

Strictly speaking the No Death/no temp Mo badges can't be gotten in a single run if someone gets killed.

However yes, this is the only new Mo Badge I can think of that cannot under the current rules for them be obtained in a single run.

Apex: don't revive the police drones or let them be destroyed and then the next mish is to win in under 15 minutes against Battlemaiden. Can be done in one run.

Tin Mage: all badges can be obtained in one run, even the Midnighter badge provided the team has a plan and certain temp powers ready to blitz Director 11 with.

B.A.F: all badges can be obtained in one run to obtain the Mo.

Lambda: not possible in one run per current design.

I don't remember where, but a redname posted at one point that the point of the MoLambda badges was to have to run it multiple times. That in and of itself I don't have a problem with....it's the fact that we have to do the same thing 3 times that is ridiculous.

Would it be better if say for the one badge we had to collect only the 10 acids and no pacification bombs, but STILL be able to use the acids on the doors? Also for the grenades badge to be able to collect all 10, and NO acids and still be allowed to use the pacification bombs against marauder, the stipulation for both being that you must win the lambda?

The badge for getting 10 of each and not using them at all I am fine with, it's the other two.

That has always made sense to me. And with the requirement that you get none of the other, this would still require multiple runs.

I think so as well. That way the three final battles with Maurauder will at least be different, with different levels of difficulty. The way the badge is now, if you can get one badge, it's pretty much a given that the same team can get the other two, you just have to go through the grind of getting them.

Well, it's a bad point, then. It's clear that this was intentional, I just think it was a really bad decision.
