Twilight's Son dialog revamp? :S

It was pretty funny when my Warshade did the Ouroboros introduction arc to be told, "Twilight's Son is the last of his race. The Kheldians have been wiped out and used as a source of energy to power the ships of a deadly alien force in the far distant future."

I even made sure to jump into Nova form before I started the chat for lol purposes. Not sure if this has been brought up before or not, but I thought I'd put it out there.

Twilight's Son is from the future. In the future, he is the last Kheldian. Or so they say.

You may want to re-read that. Especially the colored, bolded part.

TS was going to has been the Last Kheldian. I think. I may have the tense a little wrong.

Ah touche, I copied it over from the 'description' section on paragon wiki while half-paying attention but I just found the actual dialog.

Quote:
There you are. Mender Lazarus has told me so much about you, I feel I should tell you a little about myself.
I am the last Kheldian. For you, I'm sure this is hard to believe, but there is a storm coming. More destructive than any before it. This galaxy holds a threat that is far superior to the Rikti race. This threat is the one that rounded up my kind to fuel their battle fleets as living energy cells. I was the only one to escape, and Mender Silos gave me a chance to change things here and now. This is the time to make a difference, and a difference I will make.

One of the key elements to this great cataclysm is the Rikti War that is currently occurring. I need you to infiltrate one of their bases and defeat one of their war generals named Loc'Danan. I will then slip forward in time and see if his defeat has had a desired effect. You may even meet an old friend in the caves to assist you.
Now that I know he meant to say that in the future he will be the last kheldian it makes a little more sense, but still. And then there was..

Quote:
Mission Objective(s)

You have no idea how the Rikti are involved, but hopefully defeating this General can help Twilight's Son's race.
You would think that kheldian players would have a little more vested interest, and sense of inclusion.

Thing is, it's all very disconnected from the supposed events.

Picture it this way; my Warshade speaks to Twilight's Son who informs her that, at some point in the distant future, her entire race will be enslaved. This seems bad. "What can I do to help?" she asks. "Well if you could just run a series of tedious errands for me that have no recognisable link to any of the stuff I've just told you, that would be great". At this point she's likely to say "Screw this, I'm off to abuse some more Roman corpses".

Yeah, I'd sure like to know how the Rikti are connected. It's almost a non sequitur. The only connection I can think of is the fact that the Rikti repelled their reality's version of the Battalion from their world millennia ago.

Ya see, it all started when the Well of the Furies went insane, and...

"One of the key elements to this great cataclysm is the Rikti War that is currently occurring."

It could be any number of things, especially being asked to assassinate a specific general. They defeat someone who otherwise has a key to changing something that will slow or stop the invasion, or it pushes another event forward (or back,) or the general is one of those that still wants to eradicate Humanity instead of making peace when peace is what unlocks tech to humanity...

Pebbles, ripples, all that.

Seems pretty together to me. You can always check the Time Traveler's Handbook of 1001 Tense Formations to be sure.

61866 - A Series of Unfortunate Kidnappings - More than a coincidence?
2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.
379248 - The Spider Without Fangs - NEW - Some lessons learned (more or less.)

Twilight's Son is a prime candidate for a little context sensitve dialogue upgrade. It would be great if he had even justa few little bits of different dialogue when talking to a Kheld.

Always remember, we were Heroes.

"Our engine's out of steam," he said, "And soon our ship must die,
If we can't find a planet with fuel to feed the drive."

Now, our ship's a noble lady, and our captain, she is, too.

But our engineer is none too bright, the dimwit of our crew.
The captain said, "I thought you filled the tanks on Vega Five."
McQuillin just looked sheepish, he forgot to feed the drive.

Can curses stir the gods of space, who dwell beyond the stars?

If so, they surely woke up then, for we used up most of ours.
We thought we'd drift forever, lost between the stars we'd die
And all because Mcquillin bought no fuel to feed the drive.

But then the captain's eyes grew bright. She said, "It seems to me

That a fusion drive burns H20." McQuillin turned to flee.
"Grab him, boys, and hold him, he's no good to us alive,
But two hundred pounds of water will feed our dying drive."

So, once again, we fly through space, avoiding all the stars.

Who knows what ruin may take us, and what evil fate is ours?
We didn't find our planet, but we'll all but one survive,
As long as we are granted some fool to feed the drive.

I think it should be "is going to have been" in the past future perfect tense.

I believe it is "fail"

It is indeed, since I do speak leet. Don't ask me how... one day I just simply read a sentence in leet and understood it without any prior experience.
