Shouldn't some of those rangers have walkers by now?!?

And what were they thinking? They're supposed to gather on TOP of the hill for the invasion!! Newbs.

Gokaiger is an awesome show. The fights are done really well. Also, their Red's name is Captain Marvelous.

Yeah, I've been watching subs of Gokaiger and it's a lot of fun.

For those who don't know:

After that big fight scene, the energy from all the Sentai somehow took the form of "keys". Captain Marvelous and his crew of space pirates are in possession of these keys, and can use them to turn into ANY Super Sentai from ANY series in the past in addition to their normal Gokaiger forms. Gender and team composition doesn't matter, so we've had things like a team of all reds like it wasn't a big thing. But the coolest part of it all is that they just discovered that they can use the Sentai keys to combine their megazord (can't remember what it's called in Japanese) with the zords of other Sentai series.

Why? Are they from Texas or something?

Do the Super Sentai powers vary from series to series? I'm not well-versed in this universe at all, not even a little bit really. I had always thought that their powers remained the same and only the uniforms changed.

The powers vary greatly from series to series. You can always expect martial arts, giant robots, and colorful costumes, but beyond that the different sentai teams are quite diverse. There are teams with animal-based abilities, magic abilities, technology...

Well now that brings up questions that could never possibly be answered for fear of ripping the universe apart at the seams...

Which power ranger is the strongest?

Aka Red. Hands down, it's Aka Red. He's the spirit of all the Red warriors, and has the powers of every Red that has ever existed.

He's based off the first Red, Aka Ranger, and his name means, literally, "Red Red."

Bah.

Red name bias.

And haven't the reds kinda been primarily a leader role? Weren't the stereotypical "6th ranger" always more powerful?

My apologies, though. I have only watched American PR shows so no clue about the deep Sentai background on the subject.

When they first show up, yes. As the series progresses, very rarely.

If my understanding is correct, the first sentai series was all red rangers with just variations in costume design. The multi-color aspect didn't come in until later.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

The first sentai series was Himitsu Sentai Goranger, and they had multicolored costumes.

That's right. I can't recall which series it was (I know it wasn't JAKQ or Battle Fever J) that had an entirely red team. It's been forever since I've seen anything on it.

Edit: It might have just been in the 25th anniversary special.

I always get confused by these shows, because Kamen Rider and Power Rangers and stuff seem to be so interchangeable! But I do admire the enormous effort that goes into the special effects for these shows, and the huge amount of coordination they have to do for the mass fights.

Just how many of these hero shows do they have, anyways?

A lot.

That's just the basic list. I don't think it includes the Sentai shows or the Kamen Rider shows or Metal Heroes.
