"Downtime" Aqualad takes a trip home to Atlantis.

There was no episode last week. CN felt the need to show some stupid extreme sports award show instead. But we got a new ep tonight.

I'm surprised no one chatted about the ep from two weeks ago though.
Granted, I haven't sat through all of that one. Then again, Wally tends to grate my nerves a lot and considering what a idiot he was in that ep... Sheesh. I'm surprised I made it to the 1/2 way point in the ep.

Thank you for the time...

Decent ep. Neat to see Garth (aka the original Aqualad from the comics). Best moment of the show was Meghan and Superboy's scene. Especially when Red Tornado walked in, said nothing, and walked out.

I'm really liking the interpretation of the JLA in this series.

The momentary peeps into the lives of the rest of the team made this episode all the more kewl. The Queen going all "mother protecting her young" on the enemies was pure awesome.

My immediate response was "Now they've done it, Mera's entered the Avatar State!"

It should've been, "Oh god! Tentacles! Guys, this never ends well in anime! Run for it!".

Totally loving this series . Great episode like the other posts have stated . BTW , which Robin is this , Dick or Tim ? Can't remember but it was nice seeing the two of them recreate playing ball

Posted

Think it's Dick. I seem to recall something in the episode where Robin goes to WayneTech and he used an override.

Yes, and in the episode where they went to Robin's school, there was a picture of him receiving an award with the name Dick Grayson.

The Black Manta design was nice, and the zombie-ish Clayface looked good, too. That's about the best I can say about the episode.

Don't let the outfit fool you, it's mini-Creeper.

dug the episode, DIGGING this series.

I'm absolutely loving how they're really playing with the limitless cast available in the DCU.

They might be in exactly the same form as their comics versions, but we're getting to see characters who might never have gotten any screentime otherwise.

And c'mon, Red Tornado is Owen from Gargoyles. How can you not love that?

Artemis Crock, huh? I'm okay with that.

Was totally cracking up at the scene with Superboy and whatshername. The way Red Tornado just walked in, stared, and then just walked out was hilarious.

Another solid episode, I am quite enjoying this series. I want them to reveal who the faceless conspiracy of baddies is eventually... maybe some if not all of them by the end of the first season? I think that would be cool. I have some guesses who some of them might be, but I want to know. Must mean they got me hooked on the show.. yes , I am hooked on it.

Confirmed altaholic with 70+ alts in coh and cov...yes i know thats alot! Playing coh since beta test phase.

The show is ok for me so far. I know it is aimed at kids and doesn't really follow what happened in the actual comic. What really makes me mad is what they did with Robin.

The Robin in the young justice comic was Tim and the way that they portray him on the cartoon is how Tim acts and evens follows how Tim acted in the actual comic. This is why I first liked the show and then to find out the Robin on the cartoon they are calling Dick Grayson.

In the original comic Tim was trying to be a leader, kept his identity secret, was a computer whiz, just how he is on the Cartoon.

Maybe its just me but I am a big fan of Tim Drake and the friendship and love triangle between Superboy and Wondergirl.

Pick up some the trades if you get a chance.

Freedom Server - Main = Lil Bug & way too many alts to list

Completely disagree. Young Dick Grayson was the laughing daredevil of comics. Young Tim was much more serious and studious. Even in the Young Justice comic.

In any case, this episode was a really nice look at YJverse Atlantis, and an explanation why Calder, not Garth, is this 'verse's Aqualad. Black Manta was suitably vicious.

It shouldn't amuse me so much to see Bruce Wayne as one of the better models of parenting in the DCU, but there it is.
