14 hours now, no support response. Not surprising, but someone earlier said they were tempted to rage-quit CoX?

If this isn't resolved reasonably soonish, I'm phoning my bank to say "Hey, these guys? Don't let them have my money."
I'd lose my accounts for this and Guild Wars, but eh, I doubt I'd play another NCSoft title if this doesn't get sorted.

OH WOW!! whew i thought i was the only one going through some crap like this.. As you can see ive been here a while but to a leave of absence.I now am begining to remember why. Last night i was FREAKING OUT! 1 because i dont remember ANY security questions that i filled out..and if i did.. that was 7 YEARS AGO. And to top it off... I JUST bought going rouge and found out my computer uses a cd rom instead of a dvd rom. So when i went to enter the serial code it said i needed to know my ...first name...and dob...are you trying to tell me you changed my first name and my date of birth? WITHOUT TELLING ME???? is ncsoft GOD modding again? 
Please dear god fix this crap before you loose EVERYONE due to lack of intelligence.. I love this game and dont want to loose player base or friends. Oh and i honestly think that these booster packs..should have been free all because of the dumb*hit things that happen like this :P

This is utterly daft.
Thanks to the help of a GM, I was finally able to get into my account after having been locked out since yesterday (no, sorry, I don't remember the secret answers I put there five years ago, especially if I have to recall caps and punctuation marks), but like many others, My IP address changes every time my internet box reboots. Does this mean I'll have to go through this ordeal again every time now?
Not to mention the copypaste message You initially get when visiting support. I especially love this part:

I'm a City of Heroes player. I don't play Aion, I couldn't care less about Aion. Actually, I do have an Aion account, having played beta, during which I found no interest in this game and so proceeded to not buy it and forget about it.
So all right, I know you're supposed to follow those instructions anyway, and think "CoX" instead of "Aion" in each instance, but that really shows how much consideration NCSoft has for us.
Now I thank the GM who responded to my ticket, his/her help has been useful, but if I have to submit a ticket every time I want to log in my account, it'll get old fast.
This "security update" is useless, irritating and uncalled for. Please find another system, or better yet, scrap it.
How long do you have to wait before your account becomes unlocked?
lol..10th in line? been a MIN alread. like 20 mins lol
i havent been locked out of my master account yet cause i stopped at 4/5 attempts cause i almost knew there we would some kind of lockout that would happen
as of now im still waiting for a response on the support ticket i filed, its been about 15 hours since i have submitted it and have yet to hear anything aside from the auto generated response
im kind of with everyone else on this, this change is annoying as hell

I think entering real information for this, especially your mother's maiden name, is a bad idea. Maiden name is used for real security checks, like your bank account. Scattering that information all over the web increases the likelihood that a security breach will occur and that data will get out. Or worse, an unscrupulous data center employee will sell your information to criminals.
For this reason, I would recommend choosing the option to use information that is not used for things that really matter. That is, use pet name for frivolous things like gaming accounts, and reserve maiden name for things that actually require it.
OK guys if u gt a tech support named NICK good! hes awesome!! the case number i had was 110303-0000490 GIVE THIS GUY A PROMOTION. Helped me with being locked out. Switched it to dob instead of some wackey security question and helped me figure out how to install GR. Thanks Nick your da sh**zt!!
Hi all. We understand this is a pretty big change for some of you and while this was implemented in order to increase the security of all NCsoft Master Accounts, we certainly don't want to create situations where you are no longer able to access your Master account, therefore limiting your access to your City of Heroes account. Our Support team certainly expected to receive a lot of tickets after the announcement was made and they are dealing with every single one of those tickets as diligently as possible. This will however take a little while and we would like to thank you for your patience while this is being done.

I am so glad so may others are pissed off over the new system. I am so sick of this kind of crap that I may join the band wagon and call my bank and tell them to deny these guys any more access to my checking account.
Thanks for your message Avatea. I will keep my patience, it's been a little challenge but i will. I hope everyone here can have access to our NCSoft Master Accounts soon.
Took a bit on hold (45 minutes) but i got my issues resolved in under 5 minutes on the line with a very professional rep at the NCsoft user support number.
When something good happens to me, I can never enjoy it....
I am always too busy looking for the inevitable punchline...

It does seem somewhat ill thought out. The intention (improved security) is welcome, but the implementation clearly hasn't been that good.
I managed to get into my account on the 4th attempt. These are answers I set almost 6 years ago, and can't even recal the case each answer was written in. I'll have to modify the answers now, and then make a note of them somewhere.
Like others, I also have a random IP address allocated to me every time I connect to my ISP, so I'll most likely have to go through the security questions each time I want to access my account page. Although, I guess that would make it easier to remember them...
