My spouse can't log into his master account now because this cowpat of a system has logged our shared IP to my account and won't allow him to log into his. Apparently only my account information, questions, etc. are valid. How do people with multiple accounts get around this?

Also, call me some kind of dinosaur, but I'm at an age where I don't honestly remember what it's like to be asked for my hall pass, or to be expected to obediently submit to the every absurd whim of authority figures. I actually do kinda expect NCsoft to fix this on their end, without my jumping through hoops. |

I can't, like many people it seem, log into my account, because this New Security Update.
I sent 2 or 3 times these infos :
NCsoft master account name:
First and last name:
Physical Address:
Date of birth:
Serial codes/access keys:
Unique Account ID(s):
Except the last one, cuz my brother bought the account that I now own and pay myself, he couldn't give me the informations I need to log in, password hints, user ID etc...
To make short, I sent ALL the informations I had, included the fact the credit card paying for the game for years now have the same Family Names, and still no answers at all, except a survey to ask me how the support fixed my problem (...)
So, what's the thing with support ? We aren't even heard or what ?
I can't buy addons or booster packs anymore, not to mention unable to renew my account if I need to.
This security crap is really a BIG mistake, Im a longtime customer and didn't had to complain all these years, but this thing get on my nerves now.
That's why I post here, I'll have at last the feeling that some people will be aware of it, even if it doesn't help...
i've about had it with this new account authorization BS.
whenever i forget to pay my credit card and NCSoft gets a payment denial. maybe then they'll figure out that this was a bad idea.
Wonder of wonders I just got into my account yesterday. Answered the same questions the same way. I wonder if it is the stupid , hard to read code words.
They keep this up they'll lose three accounts mine, my alt and my GF's. -.- I can't get anyone to give me a straight answer and who keep stheir CD keys from seven odd years ago. I'm about fed up with this.

I got challenged with a security question from 5 years ago.
When I contact support like it says, they ask for - guess what? Your account information!
Umm, that info is...in...my...account page.
You know, the reason you ask for 2 security questions is so that one is a backup to take care of vagrarities of spelling, whitespace, capitalization, etc.
If you are going to hit people with both, then they are effectively passwords, and should require two entries just like passwords.
If you are going to lock people out, give them a way to cancel autobilling, which is far more a legitimate business practice than autobilling fraud.
Finally, if you are going to do something like this, actually have some, any, kind of support.
At least foolishness like this is its own reward for such companies. They end up alienating a large part of their subscriber base and word does get out.

So, NCsoft really doesn't care about the customers, or just don't believe them when they say they can't retrieve their passwords or old Mails ?
Almost a month now since they "upgraded" their security update and still no answer or information about how to fix our problems...
Maybe I will need to hack my own account to continue to play then...brilliant update indeed...
I honestly thought this couldn't last. There's more and more people realizing they've been locked out. I have to wonder how many will simply not be able to get back in. Color me stunned. There was no way I thought they can keep doing this. They are still riding high on the fact that there's no competition to COH for me but NCSoft managed to turn from one of my favorite companies to "do not touch again ever" with this.

Finally got in. I won't do deep into details but I think someone should know that I had to use phone support and email was like talking to a recording. o.0
I was talked down to like a 12 year old and despite telling them when their original response came through I was IN EMERGENCY SURGERY to remove part of my foot, they simply told me that wasn't their problem and I should have used their "generous" offer they showed me before.
I want someone important to know (and yes there will be several people I assume who will QQ me but you know what at this moment I don't care) I came very close to pulling up stake and going to a new MMO regardless of how good you've treated me in the past 64 months o.o;
I've never been so embarrassed and upset to be part of a community that I was once proud of being in since this new feature came out and I've lost no more then 7 good players since support won't give them the time of day. Maybe this is a sneaky way of making names free, maybe not, who knows but this has finally made me upset to the point of pulling my funding options o.@
WHO keeps their CD key from issue 2? Honestly?

With mine when I logged into support I was sent to the EU(!) support page, even though I linked through the US website. Couldn't get to US support so had to list with EU support which transfered to US. Hell of a way to run a support system folks.
As soon as support gets back to me, I am going to login and cancel my account after nearly 7 years.
There are no second chances after something this stupid.

A friend of mine said he had the same problem when he had to reactivate his account (his birthday date was wrong, I assume this "bug" come from NCsoft) he sent 10 mails until he finally got an answer and got password hints reseted.
I just sent my 10th mail, hope to get finally somebody to reply and fix it too.
Or else, I will post everyday until they awake...
The thing that disappoint me in NCsoft, is that we don't even have a dev to speak about it on this forum or, at last, tell us they will fix it soon, like they'd really don't care about their older customers.
Well, I hope they will not become like Sony Intercative, because it would really suck...
Our supergroup just lost one of our most active and liked player because of the security update.
Please fix. We want him back.

What do they want more than all the informations I gave ? My shoe-size ? The name of my dog ?
They messed up big time, new security update plus the Incarante system, guess what is their big priority, not their older customers it seems.
Yes, Im pissed off now, lost my trust and getting fed up of it.
Finally the support team send me a mail to reset my password hints, Im delighted to continue to play on this moo, probably the best of all !
Anyway, I want to support you guys, and here my advise; don't stop and continue to send mail to the support staff, with all the infos you can about the game, error messages etc...
I hope you will be helped too and keep going on CoX like I will.

I got my answers reset. Still can't get in because even though I'm putting in the right birthdate (the one I sent to support to confirm it was my account), I can't get in. And I'm locked out again.
Funny thing is, I was planning to get in to buy several Booster Packs. =P NCSoft has made it impossible for me to GIVE THEM money. That's just silly.
I played on a differnt computer this weekend and it didn't even ask me the security stuff.
