Well i do play on my beast of a windows machine and my mac book pro, the sad thing is my macbook pro with its dual core processor and weaker graphics card and less ram does actually play it at a higher graphics with less slow down :-O

My feedback on this, great aura it looks great on one of my toons and I've had a hard time finding a good aura for her. I may also put it on a few other toons. hope its in I20.

I just LOVE all the nerdrage at the NCSoft Launcher. Like all nerdrage, it's so pointless.
EVERY other MMO out there uses something like this. I'm surprised it took NCSoft this long to do it.
Really, what Kheldarn said. I'd heard all the doom and hate on the other forums, and was prepared for the worst.
I just finished installing and setting up. It was utterly painless. And it updated test in half the time it would normally take.

I like the launcher. It's efficient and has a simple interface. Nothing cluttery or in your face. Heck, its built in patcher is more effective the regular CoH one by a fair bit. My patch apply time was cut almost in half from what I'm seeing.
Anyway, this is an interesting aura. Not sure who I'll give give it to, though. The whirling motion reminds me of the Ember Shield animation.
On the other hand, I have nothing but sympathy for those who are trying to use the new Launcher, and are having various problems with it not working, and for Mac users, who continue to get the shaft.
Want your wisp aura and never see the nc launcher again?
You're in luck you can do just that!
Install the nc launcher and run it once to launch coh... bam you now have your aura
then edit your short cut to point to the:
old.CohUpdater.exe
on my computer the path in my shortcut looks like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\old.CohUpdater.exe"
So it boots up using the original method and I never have to see the icky nc soft launcher again after the first time!
That will only work for a limited time. Eventually, the launcher will be required.
