On the pony note, the new series there is pretty good, it seems. I'm happy to see some pretty good writing in what's basically the girl-version of the shameless toy tie-in cartoon. Now we just need a live action feature My Little Pony film. To keep the score even with Transformers.

Speaking scientifically, a pony is a variety of horse (Equus ferus would be the species for horses, ponies, tarpans, etc.; the domesticated horses and ponies would be the subspecies caballus), and a miniature pony could certainly breed with a Budweiser Clydesdale, though it might be a little bit awkward for both animals.
Speaking as a rider and close friend (and neighbor) to both a boarder and a breeder, however, ponies are not the same thing as horses.
