Don't look at this as an opportunity to make a lot of new friends, b/c many US players are frothing at the mouth and simply looking at the merge as a chance for more targets to chase down with their psi/nrg Blasters.

Not really...just calling it like I see it (I figured out how to ignore broadcast pvp in i11). You don't even have to go into zones to see what I'm saying, simply take a look at the way many people talk to each other on the PvP forums to get a good feel for how they act in game.

You understand the pvp section is notorious for being full of trolls right?
Thats why the test server was so good (well one of many reasons) as the majority that came on were fairly hardcore and pleasant who didn't fell the need to throw toys out of the pram etc.

Sorry if you misinterpreted my orignal post as crying about broadcast PvP, that wasn't my intention and I actually stopped worrying about that many issues ago. I was simply pointing out that our EU friends should not cross over and assume a friendly atmoshpere will be waiting for them like some sort of long lost PvP family reunion.

I will be welcoming our EU brothers and sisters with many blanket statements.
As for there being new hope for PvP: as far as I remember the i13 rules are still in effect. A merger won't change that.
We can hope all we want. Hoping however won't lead to developer action and I sincerely doubt we can expect ANY developer action on PvP in the near or distant future.

The fact that golden girl commented means they have roleplayers wanting pvp now. So no there's zero hope for pvp, but when all the new fun games are out the rp community can pew pew like it was i12 again.
