Hi everyone, I've been gone for several years and have noticed alot of changes in the game I played and loved. At the moment I'm doing the 7 day free trial but if I find I can hang with new adds and not feel lost I'll probly restart up my 3 acc's again since I got max'd out toons galore on each (back 3-4yrs ago) !! So I guess my ? is are the the main dominating builds still the same or has the monarchy been changed for top builds? Also I can't seem to remember how to set my chat window I deleted the global window as I always did but for some reason can't use global but don't have a toon over 6 yet and it's temperary acc for now could that be it or am I doing something wrong ???

Thx LG !!

The "Top Builds" have definitely changed since 3-4 years ago. A LOT of changes have occurred over that time, including Enhancement Diversification, Inventions, Going Rogue, CoV, various AT and powerset modifications, and other random changes here and there.

I would strongly recommend checking out ParagonWiki, and poking around there, but definitely feel free to ask any specific questions here if you want to.

You're currently playing on a Trial account, which has many limitations on it.

The first one, that you've already discovered, is that trial accounts are not permitted to use broadcast or send tells. That is because RMT sites were using throwaway trial accounts to spam people with offers to sell them in-game currency for real money.

You can talk in Local, Team, and the help channel (which you type /hc before your message to use).

Unfortunately, the sheer amount of RMT spam led to trial accounts being far more limited than they really should be. The devs are just trying to spare their loyal subscribers from having to put up with RMT spammers clogging every chat channel in the game with their crap, and the trial accounts suffer for it.

This may shock you Aett, but CoV release and ED took place more than FIVE years ago.

It's OK though, I still consider sonic and archery "new".

...I forgot what experience means.

Trial Accounts cannot email other players
Trial Accounts may not level past 14
Trial Accounts can only have 50k inf
Trial Accounts may not join global channels

Trial Accounts can only speak in

Trial Accounts cannot invite players to team
  • Trial Accounts may join teams, but not invite other players
  • Trial Accounts may not join SuperGroups.
Trial Accounts may not create Mission Architect arcs. They can not interface with the Architect Entertainment Stations. However, they can be invited onto a team that is running MA missions

And Welcome back to the game. We hope you like all the changes.

Thx to all the info, like always ppl are so friendly in this game !!! I may just start up my old acc's to loot off all my old toons then sell or store for new toons on a new acc so I can start from beginning again, hmm guess I have 5 more days to figure that out lol !!

Thx LG !!

Why are you starting a new account? Why not just resurrect the old account? You'll at least have a few months worth of Veteran time for the Vet Reward perks.

Note: during the time you were away, we were given extra character slots in all the servers. So even if you're not going to play the old characters, you should still have room on whatever server you're in.

Note: you can send stuff (Inf, enhancements, recipes, salvage, insps) through the in-game email now. You don't need a 2nd account just to move stuff around now. If you want to send things to yourself, just address the email to your @global name and you can retrieve the email with any of your characters.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

If you have been gone for 3-4 years, your loot probably won't buy you as much as you think it will. On the plus side, by playing fairly normally you will get a whole lot of new loot worth a surprising amount.

[Kinetic Combat orange IO's are worth around 100 million inf each. Admittedly they're a very high-demand item... but still. A hunnert million inf.]

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

This is true, I think I will keep atleast one of my old accounts but will probly just combine all my sets/Hami's and influience and just make new toons. This would save me alot of time catching up !!!!

ProTip:

If farming is boring for you, stay away from any SG that has a Prestige earning requirement. This includes almost all of the "Top Ten" SG's on any given server.

All "Top Ten" means is that they generate a lot of Prestige. It does not mean the group is "Top" in any subjective category, such as nice people, people knowledgeable about the game, or people that are fun to play with. For me, those three things are far more important than how much Prestige a SG has.

Before joining any SG, play with a few members so you can see if your playstyles mesh or if they are fun people. If, after joining, the rules of membership seem a lot more like work than fun, ditch the group and find fun people to play with.

New story arcs coming soon (ARC IDs will be aded when I finish the arc):
So, you want to join the Hellions? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
Sparks & Steel (level 5-20 Heroic arc)
and
So you want to join the Skulls? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)

This. So very much this.
Honestly, global channels have pretty much replaced SGs and coalitions in my own experience. The private channels i'm in tend to have the various members' SGs in coalition and most SG bases have all the basic amenities of storage, teleporters, worktables, etcetera, so it doesn't really matter all that much what SG you join as long as it's with people you like.

Just as an example, i formed a joke/novelty SG on Virtue called the Name Stealers a while back. We don't play the characters in that SG very often, but between the coalitions for teleporter access and the several hundred million inf i converted to prestige to fund the base we have the ability to access all the standard SG amenities.

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

You'll find that some Hami's are worth a TON because people don't do Hami raids as much as they did a few years ago. If you have a bunch of them, you're looking at hundreds of millions of inf.
