No more Aeon cutscene. Please.

Honestly, I wouldn't like that. I am tired of this particular cutscene, but basing whether it appears on the badge means I would never see any cutscene more than once, ever, unless I went on the TF with someone who'd not already run it. I've seen most of them countless times now, but I'd like to be able to see them two or three times without being dependent on what characters I'm on a team with.

I still think a vote would be the best option.

I've seen this cut scene hundreds of times. Literally.

I think it is the best way for anyone to take a break, especially if they *like* speeding. You can't normally go anytime else. >.>

The shorter ones I can do without, but this one is long enough to get up and do whatever needs to be done, and wash afterwards .

Better alternative idea. Like so many cutscenes from I17, GR and I19... ADD MUSIC to that cutscene! Make it more awesome than it already is!

to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!

You know that one commercial where the brother says that he has all of his sister's friends as his calling plan "favorites" because they're hot and the sister complains and the father shrugs and says "Maybe you should have uglier friends..."

Haha... that still makes me laugh. I'd be okay if that was the commercial each time Ghostbusters was on.

I agree with Nord, Uber and others who suggested having an option for everyone to anonymously vote to opt-out of cutscenes. Most of the cutscenes in the game don't bother me, but Dr. Aeon can get tedious after a few viewings. Even just editing the part where he names each Villain-in-waiting down to a simple line of naming them instead of name-show-name-show-name-show-name-show would do wonders for this particular cutscene.

If I can leave my computer, take a bio break, mix a rum and coke in the kitchen and make it back to the computer before the cutscene is finished... yah, it might be too long. After 100+ viewings? Definitely too long.

I want that cutscene placed in every mission in the game

Yeah, the people that put the "run" in "running a TF" need a speedbump now and then.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

I can see why they put it in because there are no way points within the mission to show you where the AVs are hanging out, so if this was your first time doing the STF it'd be pretty easy to get lost I 'spose...not that that's ever stopped them from doing stranger things with less information.

The Aeon cutscene isn't the problem with the STF. the problem with the STF is the Security Chief mission.

You could practice making different drinks. Whiskey Sours are yummy.

Enjoy your day please.

I make a good Amaretto Sour. Gotta use the Disaronno and fresh lemons; don't get the store-bought sour mix.

This was great for allowing someone who wanted to see the cutscene, but if everyone was tired of it, they could bypass it.

Apologies if someone else already mentioned this, as I didn't read the whole thread before posting. Edit: I see they did. And I think feeling pressured by an anonymous vote is ... interesting.
I'd like this please. I don't see a downside if they implemented this.

Really? Granted the cut scenes in the STF, while annoying, are not completely inconvenient but can you honestly tell me you enjoy Romulus chatting with the Nictus when the last thing you saw BEFORE the cutscene began was a 51 level 5th column BOSS in your face? How about during the final mission of the LGTF when your battling Hro' Dtohz and get him to around 50% life or less and while still fighting an AV suddenly you cut to the arrival of the Honoree? I hate SPEED runs so don't make a statement like that and lump anyone that doesn't happen to like something you do into one bunch but frankly I always expect to cut back and discover I need: 1) an awake 2) a Defender or Control with a Rez 3) or a trip to the hospital because I am certain I'll be dead. Amazingly to date I haven't and I am beginning to realize, or maybe I just HOPE, that Action stops while the cutscene plays.

The problem with the Aeon scenes isn't that they interrupt combat they simply delay it and annoy the crap of of the entire team. You enter the mission and take 10 steps and ALL ACTION MUST CEASE! While we watch Aeon "pretend to be frightened and scurry through the portal to his "Super Secret Base". Follow him through and run around the corner and WAIT LET'S STOP EVERYTHING AGAIN..so Aeon can run on for about 2 minute or so telling us how stupid we are, how we have fallen into his trap, and then like the Moron he is explain exactly how we can escape. One cut scene is bad enough but two usually drives the team a little crazy. Then keep in mind the OP, like me, has probably seen that same set of scenes a dozen times or more this week since the STF is the WTS. Maybe you only have ONE character your exploring the incarnate system with but I have 9 and have already done the STF 13 times since Tuesday.

The scene adds almost nothing to the Task Force except to lengthen it while we all watch Aeon make an A$# of himself. I am not sure how long that scond one is but I have actually gotten up and run to the bathroom and grabbed a fresh drink from the Fridge when it starts and it was STILL playing when I got back, Okay so the bathroom and kitchen are close by and right down the hall from one another.. Still it goes on THAT long!

I like the idea of all the cutscenes being available somewhere for viewing. (The problem with demorecording a cutscene and playing it back is that at least half the time, it won't play back properly - which is damned annoying actually... otherwise I'd go back and try and get several of them.)

Or maybe some variety in them? One time we see Aeon doing his rant and rave, another time... imagine...

[SCENE CUTS TO A CLOSED BATHROOM DOOR, WHILE AN ARACHNOS SOLDIER STANDS OUTSIDE POUNDING ON IT]
Arachnos Grunt: "Sir, you need to hurry! We're being attacked by heroes!"
Dr. Aeon: "WHAT?! Oh all right, I'll be right- WHO USED THE LAST OF THE TOILET PAPER?!"

Or on another one...

[SCENE CUTS TO DR. AEON FIDDLING WITH SOME MEGACOMPUTER THAT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS A VALUE OF THE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT OF BURMA]
Dr. Aeon: "Excellent, and with this one final adjustment, absolute power shall be-"
[IN COMES RUNNING AN ARACHNOS GRUNT]
Grunt: "The heroes! They're attacking!"
[CUE A LOUD EXPLOSION FROM THE MEGACOMPUTER, AND DR. AEON WAVING HIS HANDS IN FRONT OF HIS FACE]
Dr. Aeon: "Heroes?! I don't have time for this! Look what you made me do!"

Not knowing which cutscene you'd get might add a nice touch of variety.
