Man, I've got so many STFs/LRSFs to run.

Hmmmm.... it does seem to be confusing.
The first part implies that you would have to choose the merit reward for your first run (undiminished reward).
The second part implies that the incarnate reward is an automatic addition (as opposed to a choice).

If the incarnate reward is a choice (not automatic), and you choose it on your first run, you lose out on the double merit reward. If you want both rewards, then you will need to run the TF twice and choose the merits on your first run.

From what I understand the bonus merits and Notice reward automatically, then you can choose from the reward table (where you'd get the TF's regular incarnate component).

Okay.... so if you want the "undiminished" double merits, you would still have to choose the merit reward from the table on your first run.

Normally you would choose between merits or swag, right? So the 25 you're getting are the BONUS 25. If you picked the merit reward, you would get 25+25...but you didn't. Am I dissecting this correctly?

It sounds to me that as an Incarnate you have the following options:

Choose Essence of the Incarnate component. Receive Essence of the Incarnate component, 25 merits, and Notice of the Well.

Choose merits. Receive 50 merits and Notice of the Well.

Choose SHOE. Receive SHOE, 25 merits, and Notice of the Well.

From the phrasing of the patch note, it sounds like the Notice is automatically awarded to any Incarnate character.

Just finished the STF with a really good group (thanks you guys!) and this is the way it was. You don't pick the Notice, it just bonds with you automatically.

First time as lead tank in STF and I think it went well!
