Cannot display webpage

I cannot view the CoH web pages (forums and other portions) on my main computer.
I can view other companies forums. I can view every other web page. But I cannot view any CoH page. The only pages I have any issue with are the CoH pages.

I can see the CoH pages just fine on my 2nd computer (which is how I'm typing this).

My main computer is:

IE8 Version: 8.0.6001.18702IC

XP Pro (5.1 Build 2600)

AMD Athlon 64 3000+

3072MB RAM

I appreciate any help.

I'm having the same issue. I can view www.cityofheroes.com and boards.cityofheroes.com on one computer, but not on another.

I can't get to the main site or the forums from 2 different computers (one Win7, the other XP) using 3 different browsers (IE8, Chrome, FF), but I can get to them from my Droid just fine...

I'm getting periods of 30 to 40 minutes with forum pages hanging and refusing to load. And then a few minutes where they're working ok. During that time when I can't get in http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com is saying that it can find the page OK.

For the past two days I've been experiencing immediate "can not find page" where the browser isn't even looking. That gets fixed with ipconfig /flushdns in a Command Window.

But the hanging on loading doesn't get fixed with a DNS flush.

Switching from Firefox to IE doesn't help, either.

ipconfig /flushdns didn't help me. Perhaps I had to close all browser windows, instead of only one I used to access the forums.

Same here. Firefox, Chrome, IE.

^Same as Zombie (without redundant quoting).

I'll view the forums just fine, and then suddenly it's like they don't exist, then several minutes go by and they work just fine again.

The forums were really wonky yesterday. Took forever to load. After several attempts I would be able to load and read stuff. Then, after a while it would do the same when going to another thread. Seems to be WAI today.

I'm still getting this today. About an hour or so ago I suddenly got a "Server not found" message every time I tried to load the forums (even in the middle of posting), but any other website worked just fine. That lasted for about 15 minutes and then it worked again just as if nothing was ever wrong.

I'm using Cablevision. Still problem with displaying both sites: main and boards.

I've been getting this problem, too. I thought it was because my workplace will block certain sites, but the boards will come back after a short period. I have no idea who the carrier for my workplace is.

Of course, I did notice it once last night at home, so maybe I should have pieced it together that there was an issue.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

I do have Comcast, but I'm sorry to say that it happened to me again about half an hour ago or so. I got "Server not found" right after making a post, and could not access the boards for about 10 minutes. Now it's working fine on the same system.

I've had this issue for a bit. I posted in this forum last week about it.

One PC works fine, this one won't see it. I've narrowed it down to an issue with DNS (which is odd, since I use the same DNS server for both PCs).

I corrected it on this PC (somewhat) by adding an entry to my HOSTS file for boards.cityofheroes.com. When I launch my CoH client, however, the top window of the updater displays "Cannot display this webpage' messages.

This PC has IE 8, the other I *think* has IE 7 (although I can't even tracert to the DNS name, but I can to the IP address on this PC).

Also, I have Fairpoint Communications for an ISP.

Also, my other post was http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=249895

I am back from a conference and still have this issue.

I have two computers connected to my Verizon FIOS router. One computer can access CoH pages, the other can't.

I tried something new today. I opened the Command Prompt and typed:

ping www.cityofheroes.com

On one computer I got host not found and on the other it gave me the ping rate.

So what would cause one computer to not be able to find the host?

I have not had a problem with any other website, just CoH.

Yep, going on over a week for me with having this issue. 3 desktops and the laptop can see the website fine. My desktop cannot. It is also the only computer with XP left on it, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

Same basic problem. one computer can't access, others on the same network can. I can ping and tracert the site(s), but not load them up in any browser. Ipconfig /flushDNS did not work.
