Stumbled upon this news going over the comments in the Davison/Tennant vid on youtube. Not sure if it's news to anyone here but good on them!

It's really fun to read the "Well, I can hear you" post before the "It's like you can hear me" post. Very wibbly wobbly!

Not that I followed those two all that closely but I thought they had broken up.

Well, apparently not.

I'm still amused that the Doctor is marrying the Doctor's Daughter, who really is the Doctor's Daughter.

The look on Tennant's face in that pic is so, um... weird. It looks like he was caught with 80 lbs of blow or something.

This news is going to make watching 'Time Crash' even stranger knowing that he's talking to his father in law...

Looks like the link is recycling a tabloid story from the Sun, so it may be safely treated with about the same level of confidence as their usual Doctor Who rumors.

That said, did anyone catch David Tennant's voiceover for the Beeb's recent spycam-filmed polar bear documentary?

You have a point. Press is still waiting on them to personally confirm.

Now the competing tabloid Daily Mail is reporting this story, which the whole Internet seems to be picking up. This may be the first time in a long while that the Sun got a Doctor Who-related rumor right.

Incidentally, Georgia Moffett's mother is the actress who played Trillian on the television version of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. A geek pedigree doesn't get much better than a Whovian-HG2G crossover.

Plus you can double that up with Peter Davidson guest starring in that version of Hitch-Hikers as 'The Dish of the Day'.

That was Davison? Good lord, he's unrecognizable under that makeup (and with that accent).

That's a hard "how I met your mother" story to top.

If I remember correctly, he petitioned the BBC hard to get a part in the show because he's a huge Hitchikers fan. I'll have a look around and see if I can find a source but I certainly remember it being something like that.

EDIT: Can confirm it's definitely him, just can't recall where I heard the story from.

My recollection was that the BBC would only let Davison have a role in HHGttG if he didn't look like himself, as they didn't want the confusion of "The Doctor" on this comedy Sci-Fi show. Thus, they found a role with a lot of makeup involved.

And their first born will be the chosen one, to lead mankind into the new age.

Personally, I though it looked like he'd just followed through.
