Rothy - invuln/ss tanker that I made on Freedumb when i first started playing, about 3.5 years ago.

I didn't know what I was doing, to say the least, as I skipped some of the shields. I remember being on teams and having people tell me to go herd and not knowing what they were talking about. I also remember having to rest between every mob and someone finally explained that I should have taken fitness for health and stamina.

I think I got as high as level 24 or so before I moved to Champion and started playing here, and then I deleted the handful of toons I had on Freedumb.

First Hero: The Omega Protocol--Dark/Dark defender on Freedom. Conceptually, he is a creation of the church imbued with dark powers in order to fight Lucifer and his legions.

First Villain: Chained Fury--NRG/NRG brute on Freedom. Pain in the *** to play, but conceptually very cool. He is an ex-Carnie strongman with a grudge.

First/Only 50 Deleted: Gunny Bornhard--AR/Dev blaster on Freedom. We had quite the case of love and hate, Gunny and I. I joined around I4, and it was through Gunny that I first learned of the DEBT CAP. Through all the ups and downs of nerfdom: ED, global defense nerf, and the removal of To Hit enhancements to level B bonus, I finally decided I could not play him anymore and deleted him. There was something liberating about it. I highly recommend it if you can stomach it.

Go on...delete a 50...you know you want to.

First toon ever was a Fire/Fire Brute called D'arkeh Nesth. I inherited the account from my brother who went to WoW and has never returned so in my case the first toon and the global are different. I retooled this toon into a Kinetic Melee/ nrg armor brute a while back but kept the name.

First hero is a FF/nrg fender called DragonRising, still around but moved to Freedom during the free transfers a while back. I enjoyed the build but it needed teams to flourish and for a while there Teams were in short supply.

Green Lama was my first character, though the original Green Lama was deleted when I found I didn't like the power combo. I recreated Green Lama as a blaster (Assault Rifle)/gadgets and found it to be more enjoyable. GL is currently L40ish and resides on Liberty.

Hometown Girl, also on Liberty is a L50 SS/Invul tank. Never had a bit of trouble with that design, however, in the mid levels it was a bit stodgy without Haste.

First Villain was General Gray, still around, about L43ish. Robot Mastermind with traps.

My highest level villain (and next oldest) is Plazmus, a Sonic/Thermal that I consider a healer.

Both of these villains are on Infinity.

I recently added 3 characters to Champion, but they are all under L25.

Welcome to Champion. Enjoy your stay.

I made four right out of the box.

The first period was WittyLibrarian. It was my Internet handle at the time so I went there first. Powersets at the time didn't apply well to librarianship, outside of Controller perhaps, but like most new players I went with the damager first: Blaster. Energy Blaster was the only thing that could fit...

The next three: Blue Arc Anom (short for Anomalous), Greystone Anom (also wik) and Vectura were based on a comics-based novel I was writing at the time (never finished, and the story itself useless to me now). Since I came onboard in mid-May (two-three months behind everyone), obviously the names Blue Arc and Greystone were taken... sigh. Thankfully the renaming ability was granted a few years later and I was able to rename Blue to Blue Volt and Greystone with Aegis.

Blue Volt was easy as he was electrokinetic so Electric Blaster was his. Greystone in my novel was clearly a tank, but he was in-story an Invulnerable type while the game offered the option of Stone Armor. I went with that to avoid arguments over the name not matching the powerset. Vectura was originally a full telekinetic... but few powers fully matched it (Psychic Blaster wasn't invented yet), the closest was Mind Controller but I didn't feel right with it. So I went Force Field Defender with her... and regretted it so much I re-rolled her as Gravity Controller once Issues 5 and 6 nerfed defense sets.

My first was a Blaster named Pagan Blast. At the time, I really didn't have a clue what I was doing, how no notion of how to mix and match power sets, etc.

By the time I DID have a clue, I had screwed Pagan Blast up beyond repair.....(at that time I had no clue what a respec was LOL). SO I deleted him and created another Blaster named Nebularian (who is just about to hit lvl 36 )

I have tried tankers, and I brought a mastermind over from Praetoria, (I even tried a brute in COV but I really can't get into the villain thing) but when I tried Scrappers....I fell in love LOL.

At this point in time, I have 1 Blaster (Nebularian), and 3 scrappers (Blue Arc, Claw Violet, and Cosmicana) and I still have that COV Brute (shoknclaw).

(I still keep trying to develope a Tanker...which I always name Lar Gand....but I just can't get into it.)

Why my first was Patchwork Knight. Named after a guild I had created over in U.O.
He is a Kat/Regen Scrapper. Still not 50 though, I think he's sitting someplace around 35. I contracted a virulent case of altitis that hasen't been managed all that well.
I went back to him a couple of months ago and laughed at my enhancement selections. Fixed those up but haven't played him really other than to do that.

Champion.
Freedom.

We just coded it on a simple X-currentDate formula, so it nerfs itself automatically. -Babs on Accuracy Nerfs
Over 3 years, 1 - 50, whole lotta alt's, still having fun.

My first was a FF/Dark Defender in Beta. I remeber being able to shoot through my own pff with reduced accuracy. It was nice. Not uber but nice.

I was introduced to the game by friends and my g/f (Sinny) try this game you'll love it! Positive peer pressure! And they played on Champ so it's always been home.

My first lvl 50 was a DM/Regen scrap, named after our son whom we were expecting when I started playing. He has been semi-retired, but about to respec and play him more soon.

My first character was Avenging Pixie, nrg/dev blaster. I then discovered my brother had also made a blaster (ar/dev), and I quickly made the first character I ever really played in CoH, Sapphire Knight (emp/psi defender) in support.... thinking it might be like EQ (mages need a healer!).

My first 50 was Freedom's Fury, ma/inv scrapper. (Scrapper-lock ftw?)

My first villain was Magenta Phoenix, fire/rad corr.

And yes, Home has been Champion server since Day 1 (literally... 7 years and counting...)

Don't remember the name, but my first character was a katana/sr scrapper.

SovereignSavior, BS/Regen Scrapper. When I first started the game, I thought about what type of character I wanted and I wanted something that had survivability and still be able to contribute to the team in a support role. Soon after I started building Sov mainly forgoing a lot of my damage potential to have support related powers from the Teleport/Medicine/Leadership pool. It wasn't till recently now that I'm more solo-oriented that I've changed a little bit of Sov to take advantage of the archtype's strengths... ^_^;;

Sugar Rainbow, Emp def. She wasn’t my first to 50 though. Later renamed her to Lavena. I don’t play that often on her, but she still holds a special place in my heart.

Waaaaaayyyyyy long ago... A FF/Nrg defender, I think, or something like that. Eventually replaced with a Nrg/Dev Blaster, named Iron Guy.
