How do you pronounce your main character's name?

Destriana
DEH-stree-ah-nah.

Most of the rest of them are straightforward, though. I just started off with the demoness.

My namesake is Bramp-How-Zee-An.

Thank you, Champion.

Correctly.

Most of my character names are puns using pretty common English words. Some are words which, when pronounced together, sound like something else, but the pronunciation is pretty easy.

Names like "Sultan Battery" (an Egyptian-themed Kin/Elec, and yeah, I know that Egyptians weren't Sultans, but the game doesn't offer a turban) or "Kickyer S" (an MA/SR kickboxer) or "R. Tic" (Ice Tank) or "Ella M. Ental" (My Earth/Storm/Fire controller).

Oh, and one of my current favorites (pun intended), my Elec/Shield scrapper is dressed in an orange vest and khaki pants, named "Ohm Depot."

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Most of my mains are easy enough, but some do get mixed up.

Persephone Lee: Persephone is pronounced "Per-Seff -oh-nee" not "Per-suh-fone." Yeah, it surprised me too. Thankfully, nobody gets "Lee" wrong.

Nenia: (a death song) pronounced "Nen-aye-ah" not "nee-Nee-yah"

Lady Vasilisa: It's pronounced Vah-see-LEE-sah. She even makes this clear in her bio.

The oddest one, the most mishandled name: The Deathsman.
People can't seem to get this one right. They always call him "death man;" a 'deathsman' is an executioner. A "Death Man?" I don't know, sounds hokey.

Sorina Tavarisch = Soar-EE-nuh Tah-VAH-reesh.

Andrea Blake = AN-dree-uh, NOT AHN-dree-uh or ahn-DRAY-uh.

The rest are fairly straightforward, although...

My global and forum names?

Samuraiko = sam-uh-RYE-ko
Dark_Respite = dark REHS-pit

Well, I only have two difficult ones:

Cryomino -- 'cry-om-in-oh'. Just mash 'cryo' and 'domino' together.
Byangoma -- 'buy-ang-oh-ma'. I have no idea how to actually pronounce this. It's a legendary bird from hindu mythology.

Edit: Had to add an extra "o" in wolf to get it to pronounce it right.

You're just a little off. I pronounce the "Kai" as ki with a long i sound (the a is pretty much silent), but the s makes a z sound. So it's KI-zon.

And I kinda lied about the "Dex" thing. I mean, that's how it's always been said while I was growing up, but I've learned that the "true" pronunciation (you know, how my great-great-great's said it) is more like "Desh." I think I'd rather be called "Desh" than "Dex" knowing that, but try telling your family to change how they pronounce your name after they've said it another way for 26 years.

My main character has no name. He is forbidden by the old ways to name himself.

KIN RAD

Interestingly I needed to add a C in front so that it didn't think the K was silent.

Huh. Funny thing is, whenever I hear 'Dex Ki-zon' in my head I think of a DJ Krush song with a similar sounding name:

Decks-Athron

EDIT: If your first name really is Dechs, what badass nationality are you? XD

I'm what I would call 100% U.S. Mutt.

Knowing my ancestry, I'm fair certain it's a German or an Irish name.

Yeah, I hear that. My family still calls me 'Danny'. I'm 38 years old. I'm Dan, not Danny... ugh...

Could be worse. My brother's name is Daniel, but we all call him by his initials, "D.J."

While he was in high school and working part time, his boss called our house and asked to talk to "Dan." My mom, who answered the phone, replied "You must have the wrong number," and hung up.

I've got one character with a complicated name, Professor Nutronious, which is pronounced /New-TROW-nee-us/.

And it's not exactly a pronunciation thing, but a lot of people ask me if it's M AYE Abrahms, or M ONE Abrahms. It's the former, actually his first and middle initials, (Michael Ian) though the allusion is intentional. Also, the last name is pronounced like the real world Abrams Tank.

The Abrams is one of the most effective war machines on the planet. - R. Lee Ermy.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

<3 =/= R

A lot of my characters have Japanese names, so if you're familiar with it, they should be no problem- although one of my friends once jokingly refered to my character Tsukekage as "suckage" (for those unfamiliar with Japanese, it's more like sue-key-ka-gay)

My big axe tanker Kharnage is a play on carnage and Kharn the Betrayer from Warhammer 40K

My Bots MM IonIX is technically Ion 9 (alternate spelling of Ian, pronounced E-an), but since he loses a little bit of his humanity with each successive upload, he no longer realizes the roman numerals are a series #, not part of his name. (Though I am tempted to rename him IonX after he becomes Incarnate)

My main's name is just a stylized version of the word 'remedy', and is pronounced the same.

My character's name is Achchasamalesay, which is pronounced "Bob".
