Lost items - were you able to get them back?

Today is the first time I've ever lost items from missing e-mail and I lost it big. Almost all of them are gone and they still had 50 days left until expiration. Have any players out there lost their items and were able to get it all back from a GM? Ugh. It took months to get those IOs.

Lost mine as well, sent in bug report but still no response

It may be possible to get your stuff back. I let my 3 year old daughter run around on one of my toons and she found a way to delete and slot over my enhancements. I find that petitioning in-game takes longer to get a response. If you ask for help from the main website...

... they get with you in less than a day. I found my enhancements crafted in my inventory the next time I logged in with an email from a GM to please be careful otherwise they may not be able to help me again. I was pretty thankful.

Was this recent for you? I had all of my stuff yesterday.

My response was nearly instantaneous. Alas, the ticket needs to be elevated to senior staff.

I'm worried how it will be handled, because the amount of e-mail attached items I had are more than the character that sent them can hold. This is reassuring to hear. Thank you TrancEnding! At least I am not feeling so bummed out now.

No response yet to my tickets, I lost around 500-600m in enhancements Some just disappeared off the market, some were in e-mails... ugh.

What happened to cause all of this?

From what I can tell emails were rolled back to a previous point in time. I heard someone else mention that an email they deleted suddenly returned.

That is bad. I had put all of the enhancements I wanted (Hami-O's, expensive IOs) to give to my Issue 19 character the day before they announced the delay of the Issue. I figured I had almost two months until the e-mails would expire so I left them on there so that I could readily claim them after the estimated arrival at the end of the month.

Boy, was that a mistake.

Logged on yesterday after a few days of not playing and lost a Lotg ++ crafted lvl 50. I sent a petition but Im guessing its too soon to hear anything. I am thinking good thoughts

This doesn't seem too widespread so far, otherwise I'm thinking there would be a lot of rage threads on the main forum Discussion forum. Which is good. The sooner they can help us, the better. I was 100% ready for Issue 19 with all of those enhancements!

if it's any help, the last time I lost emails, which included stuff like Numi Proc, Miracle Proc, and oblits, I did get those back.

There's also the fact that the GM's have been pretty great about getting missing items back to people that reported them lost. So why waste time getting upset unless they get told they are SOL.

That is very reassuring je_saist. Thank you. Hopefully they handle my case in the best possible way. Did they restore your e-mails, or did they just drop it into your character's inventory?

Lost about a 500 mill due to the roll back, GM said s/he can't find any data that I sent it so it can't be replace. I'm sad, good thing it's only e-money.

Don't know, but so far the costumer service department is pretty fast in responding back. I've ask them if they can search a little further back before giving up hope.

Yeah, don't give up on it. My response was pretty much instantaneous, although they did need to escalate the ticket. Still awaiting and hoping for a good response.

I had items eaten yesterday as well. Filled a report on the site and had my items back within hours of the initial report.

Just give the GM's as much data as possible, like what toons sent the emails and aproximately what time they were sent. They were able to find my stuff in an 8+ hour window I provided, I'm not sure how easy it would be to find things over several days or even weeks.

I wish you luck in getting your items returned though!

I lost a load of stuff and got it restored, and make sure you /petition not /bug, nobody ever responds to bugs other than the standard "forwarded to QA" reply.

It seems quite a few people lost stuff.

Thank you both for your advice! I have updated my ticket with the character information and when the e-mails were sent.

Yes, I did send it as a /petition and not a /bug.

I am wondering why there was even a roll-back on the e-mail system. Didn't they know how disastrous that could turn out?

For those that don't know, if the global chat server is down the email is down as well.

Actually, a human does look at bugs before they are sent to QA - I've on rare occasion received "We've received this, how can we help you, yadda yadda, please use /petition next time".

Didn't know that, but at the same time was not the cause of missing e-mail. Still had global tells going when I noticed the missing e-mail.

Issue resolve got my items and influence back. ^_^ Lesson learned don't leave stuff in your e-mail before server maintenance lol.
