New Pack, New Thread! -Origins-

OK, since you asked. But I don't really have anything very interesting to share. I do have Artegor, my eccentric vampire-like guy for whom I got a few of the new auras, but that's about it.

Artegor's basic look. I was going for the Renaissance aristocrat look. It's something that would seem incredibly... Eccentric to a contemporary person, but a large part of his powers revolve around illusions, allowing him to walk unseen even though he isn't actually invisible.

Artegor in action, in a state that people are not supposed to see him in. If you remember the story I wrote about him a while back, Rularuu's Fang stands in for his demonic blade familiar. Much of the rest of his "blood aura" is actually a red dark aura. The eyes are a red Toxic Gas aura, and there's also a full-body Toxic Gas aura that you can't see over all the other auras. I like to think he looks scary.

Artegor's bat form. Not much to say about this, other than that this is as close as I could come to a bat. The red eyes are a red Alpha aura, so not really new to the pack, and the wings are black and red to mimic the cape and imply that it changed into wings. I tend to use this form when I travel.

Artegor's mist form. This is not very much more than all the Dark Aura auras with Cloak of Darkness not set to No Fade or Pulse. There is, however, an overall red Thunderhead aura all over the body because it really does look like a cloud, and that's what the eyes are from, as well - Body + Eyes. I'm in the process of reworking this costume to not be based off his frilly clothes, but to actually transform him into a blank red silhouette so that the transformation is instant.

I intend to give him a werewolf form later on when I get another slot in about a level, and then even later give him something of a demon form, just for kicks.

here's a non-fire way to use bioplasma: use it on peacebringers

And yes, that and the Omega pieces finally gave me the excuse to try out one of those spine/fire scrappers I keep hearing so much about...

As Bass says, holy crap! Excellent look, especially with the colours you've used.

And finished him with the Cape and Aura over the weekend.

May re-roll as a Plant/Thorns Dominator and go Blueside, as I messed around with some power customization and was liking the results.
This is an amazingly cool cossie. Nice work. I might "borrow" from both to redesign my Stone/Fire Brute (with recoloured fire), Crom Cruaich.

Loving all the piccies here in fact and the ideas used.

I bought the origin pack specifically to do this:

Also in progress for the same character:

I just need to figure out which exact colors to use, and what sorts of tops/jackets/pieces I can add for each 'season'.

This design is stone-cold awesome. You should add it to the favorite costume thread at the top of the forum. Also, I'm totally stealing it.

For some reason that character reminds me of McDonalds. >_>;

That's a nicely innovative use of the costume change feature. What's the emote that you use in conjunction with it?

I usually don't, actually - I don't want to give more clues than necessary that it's a costume change. If I could get it to happen without resetting all her toggles, that would be awesome - I'd like it to just organically happen where she's suddenly sparking.

I usually have an "/e twitches and buzzes." when it happens though. So far, the thing that sets her off without fail is being TP'd, but there have been a few other triggers as well.

Still so jazzed that I can finally have a nice looking fire aura that doesn't obscure my character details. Been playing Succubus Kali a lot lately!

Sweet costumes, guys! They say a good costume makes you want to play a character (more). Personally, I find it can even be the difference between "stuck on it for days" and "wouldn't touch it with a six-and-a-half-foot pole."

The leaf cape with the old plant pieces and the newer organic armor is probably an overused look already, but I just had to make one of my own.

It's overused because it looks so freakin' good! Why not enjoy the finer things in life?

It's odd, but it's likely to be a month or so until I get round to using any of the bits from the pack. Not because I haven't bought it, because I have, but because I'm not a complete costume addict.

Pretty much all of my alts have one costume that is 'them', and I don't tend to mess around with it.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait a bit before I can afford to buy it. And I might decide to buy more MA slots instead of a costume pack.

No problems with that here, so long as you end up enjoying the new shinies.

You know, I wasn't sure I'd like/get this new pack (have all the others), but the pics show some of them off much better than the vid....so you all made me spend some more money.

Great job on that atomic guy! I haven't found a use for the Sports boots on any of my characters yet, but that goes perfectly with the rest of the outfit.

Okay you asked for it. Not that my costumes are all that creative or make great use of the origins pack, but I've tried to compensate by picking good photo-shoot locations. ^_^

WARNING: Full sized screen captures!

Organica needed the leaves cloak and aura, naturally. ^_^

A new character of mine called Earthsinger, actually a fire/psi dom.

The White Haired Bride, a ghostly stalker. (Posed on top of a shipwreck, though hard to tell in these particular shots.)

I used the steam puffs on Clockwork Doll, though it's very hard to take a good picture illustrating that aura.

I finally converted my hero to villain today (the villain-maker mission crashes my graphics card, so I had to find someone to complete it while I door-sat - so thanks to Ryne of Fire). As a villain he needed a proper villain look. Nothing too different, but just... wrong.

That's his good self on the right. The spliced cape and tattered sleeves instead of straight lines makes a nice evil influence.

I really like the Atomic aura. I have it appearing during combat, and set his mind and forcefield powers are invisible as I could make them. Now I just need to apply that aura to his good self as well. Soon as my computer learns to cope with the latest patch...

Looking forward to the next Issue, when I will make a better Praetorian self.
