Wait, so they also announced they're scaling it back to one issue a year as well? Why didn't anyone else who was there mention this?

(Since they said one new NPC group's costume pieces with every issue, then the only way to get one set a year is to do one issue a year. Not to mention that assumes that every NPC group has no more than a single set.)

Dr. Todt's theme.

I'll be at the MS44 flea market on Columbus Ave. and W.77th on Sunday (spots D15-16) if you're still in the area.

They tried to, but Black Pebble whispered something into his headset, and now no one can find any trace of them, or even any evidence that they were ever at the meet & greet at all.

The biggest qol improvement I'd like to see is a new full sheet of character slots. I'd pay the $120 (well 80 since I have 4), just so I could stop deleting 50's.

I don't think they said they would release one NPC group per issue. They said we would get the pieces of every NPC group they introduce from now on.

Regardless, the debate over whether we get new free costume pieces seems a little silly in a game with the level of out-of-the-box customization that we have.

Too far north for me! I'll be rummaging around the discount TPBs in the Javitz center.

And I think you mean PS, not MS.

They didn't do any more power proliferation either (to bring up another common wishlist item). But then they had an awful lot on their plate fore such a small time since I 18.

The videos are going to take all night to upload, so I'll just link to the first one...

And say that if you want them before tomorrow morning you can monitor my channel - they're all in the queue and will probably go up in 3 hour increments.

Unfortunately, part one isn't very informative.

Part two is where the juicy stuff starts - it should be done in around a half hour.

I should also note that I missed roughly the last three questions in the Q&A because my flip filled up. Other than that I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Now, I'm going to sleep!

That's crazy.
It sounds a lot higher than it actually is. It's been a good 7 weeks since release. If we estimate subs at around 75K (could be higher, could be lower, irrelevant for now). That works out to be 10 toons per account over 49 days, or 0.2 characters logging in to GR per account each day. For a game founded on alts and given the short level range of GR that really isn't that high.

It's a marketing number, nothing more.

That said, i19 looks pretty solid.

Mender Ramiel is an interesting choice of name especially since it's often mixed up with Rameel (AKA Azazel), one of the most mysterious characters in Jewish mythology.

For a 6 year old game that's not bad.

But will be more interested in sub numbers.

Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!

The statisitcs are only for the first 4 weeks of GR.

Ya maybe, who knows though? The number is meaningless enough that nothing of value can be ascertained from it, but big enough that it looks impressive. I mean it is just shy of:

Hence it really is nothing more than a marketing number.

The sub numbers would be great, though we probably won't get them. The financials when released will as always present a heated discussion as people looking at them range from reasonably capable of understanding what they mean to downright clueless and they all tend to speak on it with passion.

If it mattered then it would matter. The 750K number is fluff. Feel free to attempt to ascertain anything of value from it though.

I apologize though I didn't see a time frame given for the report and just assumed they would have used semi up-to-date information in their presentation. Typically you plug those kind of figures in during the eleventh hour for maximum effect, especially when the number has the potential to have such visual shock. Or such has been my experience in doing such things for various companies.

I used the name for a character in my MA arcs (which I will now have to change). It's a logical choice for the Incarnate "guide" character, as Ramiel is the angel "set above those who would rise". I'd rather he wasn't a Mender, of course, but then I'd rather Ouroboros just ceased to exist in the first place.

Well, looking at those I19 screenshots, someone seems to think the same

*squee* It's sad how excited I am for this and Fitness, above the new content... stuff I've been wanting for like 6 years now!! LOL

That's probably because most people made sure they did each side to see all the new content. I know I did!

Those slides are AMAZING, thanks for posting those! I can't believe how big this issue is, and it's not even "THE BIG ONE" or the expansion, wow!

My only complaint...
That new NPC costume is very disappointing though. Seriously, it looks just like all the other bulky metallic tech armor sets. Ho-hum. Can we have something else once in a while please? :-/ Not at all excited to get it, and that is sad.

Well, there'll be other ones later on, but right now, as the focus is on Praetoria and the war with Primal Earth, any new costumes will most likely be tech/military, as those are the types of new enemies that fit the current theme - just like Cimerora saw players get costume parts that suited that theme.

The devs seemed quite surprised about it too, saying how it was way closer than the Hero-Villain split on Primal Earth.

If CoH/V had been released at the same time, I'd bet you cash money the split would be a lot closer.

Yeah - I thought they'd have mentioned that when they brought up the statistics.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

I tend to agree, partly due to some of the rumors I picked up during the (I think) GR closed beta. Some of the other testers at the time were mentioning something about Praetorian Hamidon looking a lot like the Hydra, but I have no idea if they'd actually SEEN such a thing, or if it was some word passed down from one of the devs... or just wild speculation.

Tyrant's bio on the GR website mentions the Hamdion having tentacles and claws, so the Praetorian Hamidon = tentacles idea has been around since even before the GR closed beta.
You can also see a propaganda poster in some of the Praetorian office maps showing a huge tentacled monster outside the sonic fence.
