I have to agree with some of the posts here. NC Soft, Paragon Studios, etc, cannot say anymore than what they have. As an emplyee of my company, I cannot even make any public comments about a few individuals who have left.
If you feel that Paragon Studios is not behaving correctly as to how they are reporting / not reporting about the employment of said employee, you might want to check with the Federal, State, and local areas HR rules.

As it turns out, they hired extra QA folks during the development of that expansion, then let them go after it was completed. The original dev team was still intact.
It can and does happen that way sometimes. Whether that scenario comes into play here or not, I don't know.

Layoffs should be the theme of an issue update. I'd love to see Citadel and Black Scorpion get fired then set up their own detective agency. That's a Party Pack right there.

I just found out about the layoffs, and I must say, that I love all the dev's I've come in contact with, and Bab's will be missed on here. I always heard from him on the boards, and he tried to be good PR while maintaining his job as Animator. I think he did an excellent job, and only one Dev seems to stick out more for me, and thats sexy Jay.
As you can see, I love the look of this game and that is what really is important to me. I will miss Bab's hard work on animations, and hope the replacement guys do just as good. As for the others who have moved on, I don't know who they are, but I am hoping they all have opportunities and doors opening for them. This has been a great game, and it's only getting better.
I have seen lulls and I have seen surges, and I have to say, sometimes I look forward to both, as they both have their opportunities.
To the rest of the Dev team, keep up the good work! (Glances at War Witch and Castle) I have so many favorite Dev's I can't decide whether I've mentioned the right names.

OMG Babs is gone, the game is coming to an end. 8 out of not many is a huge portion of staff. I feel sad, it was not long ago when Babs had a baby.

Losing 8 IS 8 too many, but as most MMO's cut back after an expansion, it's a good sign that we've only publicly see that many depart.... Much better than after CoV, for example. As for "not many"-- IIRC, this snapshot of the paragon team should help put it in perspective. And IIRC, they were still hiring when they posted that pic...

hrmm...I felt winds of change, when they had Dev's remove us peons from their friends list.
I felt that change constantly, I just felt the homegrown company I enjoyed becoming to unfriendly, thats just my opinion.
I dislike seeing BaB leave, which would only bug me more if Castle left.
