Yes.

It really is a bit too much. I understand the Devs want something different and exciting but giving me a headache and ruining my fps isn't the way into my wallet.

Electric Control is fine as is. If it were to be changed it probably becomes an eye sore for others when it wasn't before.

Perfect example? Sonic Resonance. :P

has anyone teamed with someone running a giant pink and other hideous color, sonic barrier? or whatever that power is called. that kills me and its not distracting it obstructs view.

So many people complained about the old sonic dispersion, and the sonic resonance set about giving headaches, etc.

For me I was perfectly fine with the set. The new, and "improved" sonic resonances set, more specifically sonic dispersion now gives me headaches. It has a bunch of sound wave looking lines going in a clock wise direction, and some that go in a counter clockwise direction which is extremely disorienting and indeed does obstruct view.

I find that using green, purple, or blue to color the set easier on the eyes. Pink, orange, and yellow (basically any bright color) really give people a headache with sonic resonance.

I suspect the reason why electric control seems disorienting is because of color choice. But it is very possible the way the set animates that causes the headaches regardless how it is colored.

lol it can hurt the eyes... thow i am basing it on the team i played in yesterday...

elec/sonic troll - bright red
elec/sonic troll - bright pink
elec/rad troll -bright green
elec/kin troll -bright orange
elec/emp troll - bright blue
ss/elec brute(me) -gold
elec/stone dom -gold
elec/ss tank -normal colur for it.(he might have been a brute... was IOed stacked so tough as nails.. so asuming it was a tank)

lol sooo much elec animations.. and the 5 trolls were some team play set up. story set around them all being brothers and only having thare power when they were close to each other...

lol it epic having 6 pulsing sleep on the group but hurt the eyes to watch...

fun team thow the steady crack of stone and 2 SSs going off. + with being /elec armour sonic pumped use to resist cap, great dam

I was just thinking about this for my elec controller. Right now I have the powers colored blue and green, but maybe I could go to Icon and re-color them a dark grey? At least the auras, I still want to be able to see which ones I have held.

It doesn't bother me at all, and I am an actual migraine sufferer seeing two neurologists, taking propranolol, and axert, etc. If it doesn't bother me, and you're really getting a headache, either turn some settings down or go see a doctor.

I just don't want it lagging anyone. Is it causing anyone to lag or have other performance issues?

I quite like the visuals of the set, with the notable exception of Static Field, which to me looks like a gigantic pixelated scribble on the floor. My palette is light red and white, which at least to me doesn't seem that obstrusive.

I adore my EC effects I've got an Elec/Elec dom and every single zap she puts out is a different color. When I hit Domination it's like Christmas!

I rather like the visual effect of the elec control/dom powers, rather realistic IMO, having worked around a lot of electricity in my earlier career. Maybe I'm just not as "hypnotically drawn" to the effects as others, but even so, my two elec doms have the powers colored blue-white, and red. No problems with either.

There is something to be said for a particular effect causing some people health related issues - epileptic attacks on the old sonic shields, possible migraines for other things, I suppose. But changing an effect because people find it annoying stands to be counter-productive if there's a chance they would inadvertently change it TO something like that in the process, and end up having to change it AGAIN.

And seriously?.. If you've made your electrical controls a garish color for the sake of concept, and find the resulting effect irritating... you're part of your own problem.

They should do what the AE b studio does just not let them in but with BM would have to be a force field of some sort with WW it could just force them onto the roof.


I personally think it is one of the funniest things in game to get a few demon MMs in the B studio near the window close together so the demons keep getting pushed off creating DEMON RAIN. Yeah thats right where you live it might rain cats and dogs but in the RWZ AE building it rains DEMONS.

My computer is not great. Because of this, I have my particle count all the way down to 100. And yet, for some reason, any time I team with an Elec Controller, I see all of their graphics for each power, and it proceeds to turn my computer into a slideshow of colors, rendering me useless. What's up with that?

I've mine coloured a dark yellow and dark purple and they look great and are pretty unobtrusive. My Fiery Aura Scrapper is much worse in terms of brightly coloured splodges making it hard to see, I just can't seem to colour Fiery Aura in a way to make the effects somewhat pretty.
