Probably because to switch sides you need to be level 20 or above.

I'm not sure if this means that the only part of GR that people will get is P-town or not. It does sound like if people make a praetorian, that praetorian will be stuck there until they buy GR.

Some clarification would be nice. Is it P-town only or do people get a chance to "Go Rogue"?

So... 10/7 to 10/10 is "almost FIVE full days"? I'm pretty sure that is almost four days.

Freedom is already in the RED since GR came out during weekends and peak times. What will be done for the free activation period with lots more people on Freedom?

Actually, it's exactly 4 days. And 4 is "almost 5."

Still, oddly worded unless it unlocks like EOB 10/6 and goes until morning of 10/11.

Hey Avatea, could we please get some clarification here? Mostly what features of GR will be available? I am pretty certain side switching, for example, will not be, but a little word from you would help.

If it was exactly 4 it would start at 12am on the 7th but it actually starts 8 hours later according to the announcement... so almost 4 days - most of the 7th and all of the 8th, 9th, and 10th.

To be almost 5 it would need to either start on the 6th or end on the 11th.

The Queue would become active again, just like when GR first came out.

Most time in the Queue was under 10 minutes and only at its peak was there a half an hour wait.

This is why adding a 2xXP weekend on top of a reactivation weekend is a BAD IDEA.

When a 2xXP weekend comes around, let those who want to take advantage of it, you know, actually pay for it.

Just so I'm clear... during a time when people are seeing RED (figuratively and literally) servers, and the lag is horrendous, this announcement confirms that there will be a weekend urging MORE people?

Is this not akin to an owner of a restaurant filled to capacity making an announcement that "for the next four hours, everybody can come in and get a free hamburger!"?

On a weekend, no less.

If I'm misunderstanding the announcement, I offer my apology now.

And exactly WHAT does Praetoria being level-locked at 14 have to do with primals switching sides? Even if they won't be able to switch new Praetorians, they will still be able to switch Prime Earth toons, granted that they unlock that feature at all.

You're not misunderstanding, you've got it right.

Of course, you're forgetting that their are other restaurants. The restaurant you frequent is overcrowded to the point of getting poor service. You lament that they're advertising for more customers.

But there are other restaurants with lesser crowds and great service. Over the past year, you were giving coupons to join them with a free ride to their door. But, you chose to stay in the overcrowded restaurant. Enjoy your free hamburger there!

Not a bad point, except I play on a server already with a lower population normally, and even during the most "Dead" hours during the week, the lag can get bad. This while playing on a computer built to play the MMOs, with a Internet connection speed most envy. I wouldn't even mention this except EVERY group I team with complains of the same problem. So, while you do have a point, so does the person you quoted.

No, your right lol...Thrus 11am (est)- Sun 7:59....7:59???am is only "nearly" 4 days.

So what happens to characters that we create in Praetoria once the Reactivation Weekend is over?

For instance, I don't have GR, but I've always wanted to try a brute, but don't want to start in the RI. So I'll roll one in Praetoria once the Reactivation Weekend gets here. What happens to that toon once the weekend is over? Does the toon disappear? Or will I only get to access the toon again once I get GR?

If I typed what I want to type I would be in alot of trouble. Here's what I can type without the bad stuff... i hope. GR was weak IMO (can't reply to that... it's IMO). They won't do double XP because it would make the people doing the new content lvl too quickly. They think you would want to enjoy the 1 - 20 stuff for as long as you can. and they are wrong. IMO again.

I have no problems with your opinion, you are welcome to it. I even think you are right about leveling too quickly, considering that Praetoria will only be open to Level 14 for the folks that don't own GR. If they gave a "Double XP Weekend" at the same time they give a "Free GR Weekend", then you would only get about half the content a toon normally does to get to Level 14. Hard to showcase all the GR content, when you would effectively only see about a third of it.

There is one thing about your post that I will comment on. Try not to attack everyone with it before they even disagree with you.
