Mystic Fortune: Invalid Target
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

My "fix" or memory cue to help me on the timing is to apply Fortune to someone right after I use Secondary Mutation, then repeat on the same person for the duration of the team.

This - it's a pseudo-fix to the constant prompts, while still giving you the option to decline. Now you only get constant prompts if you decline all of them. It also makes it harder to waste on someone just because the cards didn't flash around them before you tried to use it, so you can put it on someone who doesn't have it already.

I don't think that's why they did it. You could still stack multiple castings of it until they did this. I don't really know anyone who did it in practice, but I know it was possible. This now appears to truly prevent that.

Either way, it's WAI.

I'm pretty sure you are wrong. You could NOT stack Mystic Fortunes on people. Did you ever look at the numbers? Before this "fix," if you cast your Mystic Fortune on someone who already had one active, you wasted the cast and the recipient got no benefit. This "fix" makes it so you don't waste a Mystic Fortune on someone who already has one. (Imagine how overpowered it would be if you could stack 7 or more of these on one person!)
While I would have preferred a message that the target already has one, this is a pretty good fix. I much prefer this to wasting my slow-recharging buff on someone who already has one.

It was one of, if not the, very first exploits discovered after they gave us LOLWalk.

I agree that one of the primary reasons for the change was so that you don't waste it, and prevents the target from having to accept or decline something that wont do anything anyway, but..
..I disagree with your statement that you couldn't stack the buffs. Of course it was never intended for them to stack, and simply casting an extra one on somebody normally had no extra benefit, but there were at least a couple exploits that I know of that still allowed you to get them to stack.
Sure you could. All they had to do was toggle on Walk first. Then, multiple castings of MF could be thrown at the target. When they turned Walk off, they had stacked MF Buffs.

Hmm, interestingly, I never heard about that one. Sorry, but obviously they needed to do something to fix the exploit.

I consider it a big win. I used to waste it on people all the time. Now I can only give it to people that don't have it already. The stacking thing was a secondary concern to me.
Ah ok that makes a bit more sense but still very clunky - but at least it's not wasted now. Thanks for the info.
(I'd never heard of the exploit either)

I love it to prevent wasting it in PUGs. In our SG of course it wasn't a problem because we always fortune the one below us in the team list (bottom hits the leader). It made things a ton easier and even with this change knowing who to hit in any situation speeds things up.

Any news on this? I've not seen anything relating to this bug but it's seemingly taking a while to get resolved.
