Is it that hard to update the server status screen?
there is an announcement thats it is up...but its not...(sigh)..so im still here...waiting...
Upness....
I'm in!
do you think they would call me and wake me up when its really back up?...
that would be nice..
ok I'm in but it's too late as my brother was so depressed with never getting my items that he killed himself by eating a goldfish bowl
Isn't this just a simple thing. We pay to play. That's it. Dev's get their salary from us. So - quite simply - as we pay their wages - tell us what's happening. Don't frustrate customers. It's the most simple rule of 101 running a business.
Don't see what's complicated about this whole thing really.

If one of our servers is down I don't rush off to tell the customer what is happening, oddly. I fix the issue. Once I've gotten that done and everything is about to restart THEN I tell the customer.
Most customers don't even notice, and those that do are usually quickly placated.
Not at all - it's just a regular feature of how COH run their business - never let anyone know what's going on with servers. It's frustrating and doesn't need to happen. Terrible customer service - that kind of comment misses the whole point - "do you want your 2c back?" And i guess you know it. It's just not the way to run a business.
Carnifax - i hope that was tongue in cheek...
k carnifax - just facetious then
It's patently obvious that something has screwed up on their end. It's unlikely they are standing around laughing and saying "Let's leave it down for a while longer just because we can" and it's very likely that if they did come along and say "It'll be fixed in 30 minutes" certain people would time it with a stopwatch...
It'll be fixed when it's fixed. It's not ideal but these things happen. Such is life.
If this type of thing (a couple hours of unexpected extended downtime) happened once a month, I'd consider it a minor inconvenience. For you to demand to know every little up-to-the-minute detail is just ridiculous. Even the person who started this thread has shown understanding with today's issue.
Having checked - devs state server down 2 hours - 4 hours later servers come up - no comment in the meantime from devs. You think that's okay? Ridiculous.

We have been made aware that this maintenance period will run longer than expected. At the current time we do not have a new Expected Finish Time. We will provide a further update if this changes. We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience. |
I'm not the one jumping up and down and saying I pay the developers wages though, am I?
