Issue solved, 10.9 did the trick. Your tech-fu is strong, wise master.
-
Okay I've downloaded 10.9 but I'm still running into the same issue.
Stupid question time: do I have to uninstall the old driver somehow? I've never rolled back to a previous version and my system info is still showing 10.12 as the current driver, like it selects the newest driver by default, did I miss a step somewhere? -
Thanks Master-Blade, I was hoping somebody would have a specific driver-number to try.

Hey. I'm having an issue on my new system that I crash when accessing the Pillar of Ice & Flame to choose flashback missions, both in Ouro zone (red side) and through my SG base (again red side). I can open the menu and select a level range, but as soon as I click an actual arc my graphics freeze and I need to end task to get around it. I get a feedback window blaming it on a display driver, updating drivers has not helped.
I'm running:
AMD Phenom2 x6 1035t processor
ATI Radeon HD 5750, 1024mb graphics
8gb DDR3 ram
Windows 7, 64bit
Has anybody else run into this? -
Ah, sneaky circle hiding down there, I've got you now.
Thanks for the help. -
Could be that i'm just enjoying my sunday morning way too much, but I can't seem to figure out how to make use of my Invention coupons, earned from Profiteer day job accolade.
Any wisdom to share? -
One of my all-time fav binds:
/bind b "++up"
Makes you bounce in place, or on the run, great for SJ or ascending quick if using fly, it's a staple for all my toons. That and the tarzan yell. -

Incidentally, Task Forces are much more fun while drunk.

These words speak to my soul.

Why isn't this thread on the Pinnacle forums?
[/ QUOTE ]
They wouldn't even take notice of another drunk thread.

You never know, I managed to find this one.....

Can you tell me where the starting contact is?
-
Things are starting to shift towards "unknown" on the status page. Might be bringing it back up for 10est. Remember you can run the updater to apply the patch even before the servers come back up, save a couple of minutes.

Its not illogical at all. I don't see how this could be included into the game without breaking the game immersion. And that's even before we start talking about lag.
Mini-games? Fine. Basket ball in one of the many basket ball courts? Fine. Bowling at the Bowling Centre? I'd probably be there. Masses of super heroes chasing round the city after a big red ball? No thanks. I'd rather we stick to the genre.
[/ QUOTE ]
Come on, immersion-breaking? If you see it and don't want to play with it just walk on by. Or would the sight of so many others having fun and you not be troubling anyway, and you'd be too distracted to continue with pulling the wings off flies or something?
Speaking of so many others, isn't the fact that the city's heroes/villains come close to outnumbering the citizens immersion-breaking anyway? I mean how many comics do you read where there are hundreds of other supers zipping around in the background doing their own thing anyway?
Lag? If there's a technical issue with making this happen, that's up for Cryptic to figure out. Not saying it's not a possibility, but the chance this might be harder to implement than I thought at first read doesn't make it a bad idea at all... just needs to be investigated. -

I might be the only "No" in this thread but I hope they never introduce something like this. I come to paragon for super heroics and maybe a bit of role play.
Chasing a ball? Ugh! No thanks.

Then don't chase it..... -

brutes dont get dark armor...

Wow, I better hurry up and pick a secondary for my brute then... he's been running around naked for a good 40 levels now. -
How bout a "Charlie Brown" wrinkle, where if you're running up the the ball to hit it melee-style it suddenly jumps a few feet to the side at the last second, causing you to whiff and land in the mud?

I play a lot of PuG's (shift work, weird play times...) and I've seen some hellish examples of bad team play, but these stick out in my mind even months later:
the "Random Herding" tank:
I find herding to be pretty boring in general, but that's just my opinion; I can put up with it if the team's still working together. What I can't stand though is a tank who runs off toward a un-aggroed spawn-group unannounced, and proceeds to lead them away from the team with no plan of where they'll end up. No "herding to here" or anything so that the rest of the team can prepare and contribute, as if we're just around to heal him after he's done and pick off any runners that get away, if we even manage to find them in time. The answer to a polite (the first time...) "where are you herding to?" came back as "wherever I end up". Big dummy ended up looking for another team, that's where...
the "Glowie Chaser" MM:
Can't say this is a MM failing in particular, but the offender was playing that AT so that's how it stuck in my mind. Immediately after hearing the sound, this winner would charge off yelling "I HEAR A GLOWIE" with all pets in tow, regardless of whether there were any baddies around. I'll admit I laughed the first time, since his was the only death that came of it, but when he repeated this several times even after EVERYONE else on the team (5 or 6 others?) pointed out how stupid it was, and eventually succeeded in wiping a few teammates out, I polished off the BIG BOOT OF JUSTICE and kicked him through the uprights. -

Nothing in the world would make me happier than being able to toss a scrapper/stalker buddy at an enemy mob, especially if it gave them some sort of very short duration damage boost. Would love to see the game have more power combos, where 2 ATs could combine for a special attack of some sort.

I lov it!!
That'd be the super-shizzle. Like when Colossus would hurl Wolverine @somethin big 'n nas-T.... SNIKT!!! -

I would love an explanation as to how we are to slot powers that don't have viable diversification options
[/ QUOTE ]
Save them for your damage powers, you can't 6-slot everything.
Seems to me that the DEV's idea of "diversification" is that everybody will 3-slot damage, 2-slot end, and 1-slot attack rate on their damage powers. Sounds real diverse to me.....
