I imagine they bring the servers back up first and take some time to make sure everything is working right before they start letting people log on. I'd be MORE annoyed if I logged on and crashed in the middle of something because something was borked and they didn't bother to check it first. |

It took me 3 months before I even made a character..After that I was hooked! I have had my own account for almost 2 years now and I look back now at how far I have come..I was such a noob..I couldn't handle SB..now practically All of my toons have ss and sj..lol I just Looooooooovvvvveeeeeeee that combo..lol

Maxstorm I totally agree with your comments. Paying customers should be notified.
Unfortunately, this a common occurence in 99% of all mmo's I have ever played.

I'm going on 5 years playing COH/COV and as far as I can remember there has always been Server Maintenance on Thursdays. How do I know? I'm usually off work Tues/Thurs. Yes there are/were a few Thursdays it has been up.
Is it a minor inconvience? Yes.
Is it something to get all bent out of shape about and loose sleep over? No.
And before you guys start blaming the devs/mods for not updating the web page, put yourself in their shoes and see how busy they are with keeping COH/COV one of the best MMOs on earth, and remember they are only human too.

When my husband first got the game, I was knee-deep into Oblivion...for about 2 years. I looked at the game, thought it looked lame and was just gonna be another WoW. Then one day I decided to actually log on and play...Now I"m more addicted than he is. Must play...just want to play...and they really need to add a server status update for the Log-In server. Not that it's updating at all or anything right now, but it would be nice.

I think of it as they want to get the servers down for maintenance as quickly as possible so it's back up for all of us to play ASAP. Every minute counts for them.

Ive been playig since 2004, and the devs hardly ever post whats going on. I guess as long as they get our money what do they care if we are up to date on whats going on....
