Is it that hard to update the server status screen?

The fact that the European servers came up first and their Support made an incorrect post implying that all servers were up, doesn't change the fact that they did tell us things were running late, and we should just be patient. I don't see that they could have realistically done more.
Yeah - well - i'm not on a European server - so no - i didn't see that message. Jeez though - i don't get you guys. You pay for something - you expect something. Don't know why you get annoyed when someone points that out.

What does your account type have anything to do with seeing a message on the forums?

If you pay 12 quid a month you don't expect 100% uptime.

If it ran on so that it was a days worth of unplanned downtime then yes, I'd be irked. 2-3 hours less than once a month, which is outside the majority of the heavy play-times (sorry Aussies ) less so.

Hell they more than made up for that when they decided over a year ago to reduce the scheduled maintenence times from twice a week to just once on Thursdays.

Just think.. when I started playing this game, the downtime was EVERY weekday! I agree with you. We've got it good nowadays. lol

Easy if you know where to look. It's actually buried - if you don't know where to look - you won't find it.

Don't get your point - if you want that information available - post it on server status - that's where everyone looks. And don't know why you're so determined to defend the way things are done. That's fine - like the last guy- no more comments to you. It's pointless.

And I'm not sure why you're so determined to be outraged by all of this. Like we said it happens rarely and in the past they took steps to almost halve the amount of scheduled downtime.

How is it buried? It's a Sticky at the top of the very first forum in the very first section of the very first category on the forums.

If you expect a flashing banner to roll across everybody's screen when they visit the forums.. you really have high expectations.

Sure, a message could be posted on the Server status screen, but then you are assuming that the people responsible for the web publishing are even around when problems like this happen. It's much easier to make a post on the forums where anybody has access to make such an announcement. That's where most people look for more info every time we attempt to log into the game when the servers are down anyway.
