So frustrating. 
Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.
Yeah! wife is having this same trouble with Freedom.

Freedom player here - can't connect as well. I thought (as usual) it had something to do with me, but logged onto my Victory characters just fine.
Same here, can't connect to Freedom server.
Well I guess I wont be in to help with that Cavern of Trancendance trial I had attempted to do... Sigh...I have plenty to do with other toons as well I guess. Damn DB Server..u ruined my night!!
Yup. Getting "Lost DB Connection" on Freedom as well, though if I go to a few other server character select screens first, then go to Freedom I get to the character select screen.
But still I fear and still I dare not laugh at the madman!

I'm wondering what geographical location you all are in, or if that has any factor in it, cause not for nothing but I've been on Freedom literally all day and have not had any connection issues whatsoever. My activities included both parts of the "new" Positron Task force, some Rave hunting in Skyway, a LGTF, an ITF, a handful of tip/newspaper/bank missions on redside, and other various random things. I'm in the Boston area.
I was fine all day but then froze on load screen for 15 minutes while coming out of a mission. Haven't been able to log back into Freedom since then.
On a more serious note: this is an ongoing issue. I was unable to log into Virtue last night when I created the thread. This afternoon I was able to log into Champion, and once to Virtue, but when I logged out again to change characters.... DB Served. Now completely unable to get past server selection.
Same here, Freedom server DBServer has Served me another one.
My 50's: Windigo - 2 (Fire/Fire Tank), Rocky Wall (Stone/SS Tank), Obsidian Pain Spike (Spines/Regen Scrapper), Thunder Tower (Elec/Shield Scrapper), Messiahbolical (SS/Fire Brute)
Virtue Current Projects: Isaac Night (32 Ill/Rad Troller), Grim Marauder (30 BS/Elec Brute), Genesis Tide (22 Psi/Time Corr)
So what is wrong with the Servers today, can't get on Freedom, keep saying DB Server

Virtue is still affected.
I was having DB Server issues last night as well. So, when I logged off to my desktop there were updates that needed to be installed for my OS. So I had to shut down and let these(gov't spywares?)takeover and load onto my system. I have not had further issues since then. So, try shutting all the way down and see if that clears up the DB Server problems for you. I hope this is helpful for you. See you in the game soon. :-)

I have been getting the DB server error off and on with Freedom for 3 days now .. it is not a computer issue.. it is a procedure call issue. someone needs to take a look at their scripting for the check on the DB on log in for the servers in question. ERGO.. we just had "maintenance" and they failed to actually look at an issue that has been happening for days now...
That also includes the horrendous lag issues..
Protector is accessable, so are LIberty and Infinity.
Virtue is not.
Someone wake up the hamsters, please, and start the Wheels of Virtue turning again.

To be honest part of me is glad it's not just me. I tried to log onto Virtue (the only other server where I have any character I'm interested in) and I got the same thing. Sad panda is sad.
