More slots.?!

So with the fitness pool being moved to inherent does that automatically come with a slot?

So in essence do we get 3 or 4 slots free? Or is it like WALK

Meaning does the whole set go? Sprint/hurdle/health/stamina? one slot each automatically? An then we can add more slots if we wish to have set bonuses and procs in them.

Does that also mean that i get hurdle for free on my blaster? when i only had swift.

We aren't entirely sure yet, but they should act like Rest, coming with one slot automatically, and then being slottable.

So yes, this will give you "extra" slots, but they're not really all that usable for stuff.

You should get a better boost if you put Perf Shifter: Chance for End in the Stamina default slot and any of the following 3 in the default health slot: Numina's Regen/Recovery, Miracle Recovery or Regenerative Tissue: Regeneration.

But I am mostly looking forward to having base stamina from level 2 on.

Is that your general rule of thumb, SwellGuy? Don't slot up the later Fitness choices? I've historically thrown a few slots in Stamina to boost its effectiveness and get a few Recovery, Regen, or HP set bonuses. Sometimes will put 2 or 3 procs in Health.

Now that I'm playing in Mid's though, I may be with you on the "slot up your chosen powers and put a single proc in each of the inherent Fitness doo-dads".

This is about the coming inherent I19 Fitness not the current situation.

I currently always 3-slot Stamina with a common End Mod IO, Perf Shifter +End and Perf Shifter End Mod.

With the changes coming I will still do that for most of my characters but for the ones currently running without Fitness or people wanting to get the most bang with the default slots I'll be doing what I mentioned.

Roger that, thanks for the clarification. Was thinking the same post-i19 for toons that don't rely too heavy on Stamina (I'm looking at you, Kins and permaDoms).

As for my Dark Armor Tanker... I'll continue 6-slotting it.

For Dark Armor have you looked at IO sets that up your endurance like Impervium Armor? If you up your endurance and your recovery you get a double benefit. Plus one of the day jobs give you +4 Endurance.

I should be honest and correct myself, only have 3 slots in my DA's Stamina. That toon's Frankenslotted like Paris Hilton's sex life and I don't have many problems with the build. I'll have to pick a better example next time.

Do your homework, kids!

P.S. I'm not sure what the Paris Hilton reference means, I just came up with it.

If you're fishing for a dev response, you're not likely to get one. Would love to be proven wrong though.

While true, Castle did post on the subject last week answering the questions including that he plans on them working for Kheldians in forms.

I believe Castle already addressed this somewhere (will have to look through the dev-digest). The plan at the time was that they were going to be the same powers, just inherent and openning up at level 2 (or 1, he wasn't sure about that). Single slot default. Up to 6 slots in each if desired. You'll have to respec to get them on existing characters to ensure that you don't get double-fitness.

Great that you now get health and stamina earlier and opening up 2-3 more power slots for other powers. Some people try to see the bad in that builds will be tighter now that you might have more powers to slot without additional slots coming in, but we've survived this long without these powers, so how necessary will it be to add a lot of new slots in there.

Edit: See links in the post above me.

Does this mean that we will get health and stamina as inherent powers but can also choose them as pool powers therefore getting a double benefit?

I believe NOT.

No.
Getting Fitness as inherent means the pool can no longer be selected.
As long as you don't respec, your current builds with Fitness as one of your pools will remain, but there's no sane reason to leave them that way unless you just don't want to be able to pick another pool and/or three to four more powers for some reason.

No. Castle was quite firm about that. You either never respec again and keep the pool powers, or you respec and lose access to the pool entirely as all four powers go right into your Inherent powers and the power pool vanishes as if it never existed.

Indeed, and that's a perfectly legitamate decision. In the Suggestions forum there was some discussion of how clumsy/awkward/annoying/<adjective of choice> people thought the Respec system worked.
I myself will be respeccing characters when the time comes.

To each his own!

In which case, per castle, you won't have the inherent stamina. You'll still have the "pool" stamina. Functionally the same, just that you'll have one more pool taken up by Fitness.

In which case you will also be giving up three more power choices that would have come available.

Lots of people (a) are happy with their builds and see no reason to do a respec, since they see no need for three "free" power picks that will only have one slot; (b) never or almost never play their level 50 characters; or (c) don't want to bother re-planning and respecing a character to change the build since the additional powers may be situational or otherwise of limited value, i.e. too lazy.

I plan to work my way through all my characters, using this as an opportunity to re-think my builds. Most of them have one or two situational powers that I would have liked to have taken if I had room . . . now I'll have room.
