Couple quick, simple, random questions...
1) Yes, but with the Science booster pack I believe
2) Halloween's coming up, we'll all be collecting special salvage to take to the old hag (I forget her name) and cash it in for the 4th costume slot.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Halloween_Event_2009
3) domination doubles the mag I'm pretty sure.
Hope it helps
Question 1: Only with the Science booster can you do this.
Question 2: 40 for the fourth, or turn in all four Halloween salvage for it.
Can't tell you the answer for question 3, though.
50s: Yumi Eryuha-Arch/Energy, Mirria-Thugs/Dark, Meyami Kitsuna-Claws/SR, Celesta Seusen-SS/Invuln, Lady Mirriella-Illusion/Empathy
Arc 503982 "Dimension Xi Epsilon 22-10" Part one of a multi-part arc.
Probably not the best board to ask these, but oh well...
Question 1: Is there any way to change your character's height post-creation? I would kinda like to change the height of one of my higher-level characters... is there any way to do it? Question 2: After not playing for so long I totally forget... at what level does your 4th costume slot open up and where do you go to quest for it? (I know by your 30s you have 3 costume slots - your original look + 2 other slots... and I know one slot is for SG outfits... but when do you get the 4th slot?) Question 3: A question that at least kinda fits here heh... The Domination power (that Dominators get, of course) - I know it boosts the effectiveness of your control powers, but by how much specifically? Does it double the mag of the effect? ...or increase the mag of things by 1 (or another set number)? ...just curious how it functions mechanically behind-the-scenes. I know the power has changed a LOT since I've been away from CoH (gotta say the inherant dmg increase to Doms and not having to deal with the "up & down" damage of domination being on or off is actually pretty nice)... Thanks in advance for any info! |
2: You're 4th is opened up at level 40. The 5th can be opened at any time using halloween salvage as above. The 1 for supergroup costumes is up to the SG, not a game requirement.
3: No idea sorry.
Regarding domination, I believe what it does is add a second effect to all applicable controls, which duplicates and stacks with the orginal but with longer duration (double IIRC).
Thus, for example, if I had a mag 3 hold with a duration 10secs, when using domination, it will fire off two holds: the first with mag 3 and 10s duration, the second also with mag 3 but with 20s duration. So, for 10s you get a mag 6 hold, and for the next 10s it's mag 3.
Costumes are this:
Level 20 : Steel Canyon/Cap Au Diable (Facemaker)
Level 30: IP/Cap Au Diable (Glenda)
Level 40: Founders/St Martial
5th slot : Halloween salvage. Back Alley Brawler Halloween Gloves, Hamidon Halloween Costume, Lord Recluse Halloween Helmet and Statesman Halloween Mask you will need.
To turn it in: Heroes should visit Annah in Croatoa.
Villains should visit Granny Beldam in Nerva Archipelago.
Capes and Auras
At level 20, a hero or villain may earn a cape.
Heroes should visit City Representative in City Hall in Atlas Park to undertake a mission to unlock capes.
Villains should visit or contact by phone their original contact (Kalinda or Matthew Burke) in Mercy Island to undertake a mission to earn the right to wear a cape.
At level 30, a hero or villain may earn an aura.
Heroes should visit the City Representative in City Hall in Atlas Park to undertake a mission to unlock auras.
Villains should visit or contact by phone Kalinda or Matthew Burke (Depending on their starting contact) to allow them to "unlock the power of the destined ones."
Also this next bit has been taken from ParagonWiki and may answer your question about SG costumes:
Supergroup Mode
In addition, a player can set any of their costumes to appear differently while in Supergroup mode. This is done through a separate screen available at any time through either the Supergroup window, settings button, or at the tailor screen by selecting it over the "colors" options. Changes between Supergroup mode and normal costumes are limited to colors (using either or both of the two supergroup colors in place of any or all colors on the normal costume) and whether or not to use the "Supergroup chest detail", the Supergroup icon decided on by the Supergroup's leaders. This is individually selectable for each costume since Issue 13. Prior to that, Supergroup settings for costumes were across all costumes, and often led to bugginess if a costume shared a color with the Supergroup colors.

to expound on what TD said...
there isn't actually a "slot" for SG costumes. You can set anywhere from one to all of your costumes in SG COLORS via the SG settings, but that's about it.
the rest...
1) Yup..Science Pack adds a new type of tailor in Icon/Facemaker/Sure there's someone somewhere in Praet where you can COMPLETELY change everything, Model Type (Male/Female/Huge), all scales, and everything in between. Pretty cool for 10 bucks.
2) Icon in Founders Falls has the final costume mission contact.
3) Pretty sure it doubles for the duration.

That'll do, pig. That'll do.

Everyone else answered the first couple questions pretty well. I'm addressing the one they were fuzzy on: Domination.
Domination does not actually double the mag of a mez, or increase the duration. What it does is apply an identical copy of the mez, in most cases for a slightly shorter duration.
It has the net effect of doubling the magnitude, but it technically isn't. If it doubled the magnitude, you would see it affecting bosses for the full enhanced duration of the power. But since bosses have mez protection, they will only remain mezzed for the shorter duration of the mez copy Domination applies. When the copy wears off, the boss's mez protection nullifies the remaining duration of the original mez.
Hope that wasn't too confusing. I figuired I'd explain why Domination fueled mezzes don't last as long when you apply them to bosses while I was at it.

Highlighted bit is wrong, the Domination Mez is typically 50% longer than the original one, not shorter.*
So bosses will tend to stay mezzed for the normal duration of the mez, lieuts and minions will stay mezzed for around 50% longer.
Yep. Here's the entries for Gravity Control's Gravity Distortion from Red Tomax's site as an example:
+17.88s Held (mag 3) PvE only
+26.82s Held (mag 3) PvE only, in Domination

Good to know.

Right-click any of your dominator powers, select "detailed info". For most powers, it's something like:
2.0 magnitude hold for 12 sec
2.0 magnitude hold for 18 sec (only while using Domination)
So it's a mix of longer duration on soft targets, and actually being able to hold harder targets for the normal duration.
One important point on Domination, it is only your primary set controls. Never any secondary powers, never pools, never temps.
And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
