Has Accuracy been nerfed??

I keep hearing from different people that Accuracy has taken a hit. Now, sure, I could open up the stats window and look at all the numbers for myself... but I'll admit it, I are an idiot when it comes to looking at all the numbers and trying to make logical conclusions from the information presented.

I will say that the more I hear such talk, though, the more it feels like I am missing in combat. Like when I use Aim+Build Up and then miss on my next attack which is 2-slotted for accuracy... frequently. It could all be in my head put there by friends who don't know any better than me.

This comes up each new issue.

It is just your perception. People notice the misses when they expect a hit to happen for just that reason, you were actively watching for it to happen

Download herostats and track your acc rates. Keep the combat stats window open and track hit rolls. I am sure that you will find that ACC is just fine.

Every issue, rumors abound that Accuracy has been nerfed. Now, as with each previous issue, the answer is still no.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. Increased awareness of just common misses does feel like something's up. I was just looking for someone who keeps a close eye on the numbers to reassure me.

This is a great situation for the devs...because when they DO nerf accuracy, nobody is going to believe it

I've just found, recently, that the RNG hates me the most when I NEED to not miss... "ok, at half heath, but I can take the next mob; just need to hold the hard-hitting Lt. crud. Uh, aoe hold, GO! Oh, lovely it held the two minions but missed the Lt. I can still salvage this! Tree of Life! Seeds of Confusion! perfect >.> The two held minions are now confused and the Lt is still after me!"
It's my own fault for rushing in at half health on a squishy... been too spoiled by scrappers and brutes lately.

Accuracy took a major hit in i18 - but nevermind that, there's a monster on the wing!

Enemy-based heals miss more often the lower the team's HP is. This is because the RNG hates you and wants you to die.

I've been playing a Dark Defender the past two weeks and whenever I use Twilight Grasp at full health for its -dam and -tohit, it hits 100 out of 100 times. When I actually want to use Twilight Grasp for healing, it misses.

Turns out I forgot to make a blood sacrifice to the RNG.

There's actually a way to monitor your hit chances in game.

If you don't know about the attribute monitor in general, look at your main power trays, and click "Powers" to bring up your power list window (default key "P"). On the top of that window, click "Combat Attributes". In the resulting window, click on "Base" to expand it, and look for "Last Hit Chance" - its roughly in the middle of the "Base" attribute list.

This will be added to a little movable window that will now let you monitor the probability that your most recent attack roll had of hitting your enemy.

(If you're new to the attribute monitor, you now know you can monitor a whole slew of stuff, up to 10 items, if I recall correctly.)

It's probably because you're not used to playing characters that don't have accuracy enhancements slotted (the low-level Beginner's Luck accuracy buff helps mitigate this a bit, but it decays before you have a chance to actually slot something worthwhile).

^ What DarkGob said. Everyone just rolled new toons, probably didn't slot accuracy TOs, and now that "beginners luck" is fading off, they don't have any ACC in their powers.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

No, it is the RNG hating us...

My new stalker with a few Acc IOs in all her attacks and usually has a 90%+ chance to hit... will regularly roll 96+, especially with Assassin's Strike.

Especially after you have hit Buildup.

Also there are more +1's in missions, and these will instantly loose you 10-15%, and that is a huge number in this game. This will drop your from only being able to miss 1 in a row, all the way down to 3 in a row, depending on your powers, what level you are, and whether you slotted up with Acc.

I've always despised the CoHV RNG. Taking a percentile to the hundredths place, and not rounding in favor of the player, just gives Murphy more leeway to screw with you when it counts.
