Talos Island a blck hole?

I just finished the "leaving preatoria" mission where you have to pick a side to go to and my tanker went with heroside since it makes sense to his backstory and as soon as I was being sent to Talos the game locks up tighter than my jaw after hearing Justin Beiber sucktastic music....anyway my question is anyone else having issues with this mission or is it just Talos thats down atm? Also my sent my scrapper to Talos and she too got caught in the blag-ole.

I also forgot to mention that the client crash/lock is giving me a mapserver connect message.

I play on the Virtue server. I tested to see if Talos was working this morning and still nothing. Guess I will need to log onto one of my other toons and wait for a GM to move my two toons somewhere else.

I had this problem once. Just use a consignment house warp or relog with graphics in safemode.

Two toons lost in Talos so far - Virtue server. Is this a known issue?

So yes, a GM moved one of my characters. I tried to zone into Talos Island again... same results. The same character is stuck yet again. For some REALLY odd reason other people seem to zone into Talos Island fine and problem free. Is it a server or client issue? Because I really don't know. It has only happened since Sunday. I was in Talos Island on Saturday fine and had nothing happen to any of my characters.

Same problem for me. Three characters blocked so far in Talos on Virtue.


Any official word or help on this, please?


edit : I get the following message: "No mapserver connection. Try again."

It's apparently only Virtue's Talos Island. I can log into Talos Island on Infinity fine.

I tried logging into my toon thats stuck in talos and it still gives me the No Mapserver Connection. Try again." message,however there is another odd bit of info I missed earlier.

Although my toon is located in Talos the "Enter Paragon/Rogue/Preatoria" message reads "Enter Rogue Isles" which is very strange. As Kyle mrntioned I'm probably going to get a GM to move my toons to a safe location.

When I go to do this I am assuming that I will need to be loged onto a another toon to make sure I am in game when I ask for help.

Don't need to be logged on. Just send in a petition or ticket. They'll move it even if you are offline, but I think by now they are currently offline. I had my character moved, but got stuck again cause there was a mission in Talos. I took the risk, and voila... stuck again.

Well I had the GM move my toons and i am once again able to play my scrapper.

As for my new Tanker he still gets warpped back to Talos since I was nevr able to finish the leaving preatoria mission to talk to my primal earth contact so it looks like i'm screwed until Talos gets looked at...

Yep, still stuck in Talos, can't log in. Other people seem to have no issues, but apparently we do. Don't get it either. Can we get a server maintenance like... ASAP?

Glad to hear I'm not the only one here. I verified files, I even ran a CHKDSK overnight... no problems. But every one of my Talos parked characters on Virtue are dead in the water and cause a client lockup.

Have there been any tech support responses to this?

I replied to the tech suport email they sent me so they could have more information regarding this issue. After providing more info the tech suport guy is raising the priority... I think so this can get looked at.

Heh if I knew Talos was going to become a blag-ole I would have choosen to become a villain and switch over to hero manually.

This is DEFINITELY an issue as I have had it happen TWICE in less than 24 hours. Both times a Rogue moving from Pocket D to Talos Island. This is a serious issue.

Uh-oh, about half my toons blue side are parked there. I guess I'll find out later.

I have a feeling that it's Talos. Despite being on Victory, which has a smaller population than Virtue, Talos is one of the hardest zones to zone into and the most likely to crash the game during load. It's been like this since I18 hit.

I thought maybe this was a DNS issue (Ya never know) but after flushing my resolver cache, my girlfriend still can't get in.

I'm also having this issue. First noticed it when I tried to log in one of my Rogues who was parked in Talos. Tried my other Rogue there. Also nothing.

Then I logged in my tanker, ran around, then went to Talos. Immediately mapservered out, and now I can't log into him either.

This happened to me twice. The first time was yesterday and I waited a number of hours to log back in, but it was still glitched. A GM fixed the problem for me, and today it happened again. Humbug.

Running the game in safe mode fixed the problem for me, but.... The game is in safe mode.

This is confirmed - Safe Mode fixed it for me. Gave me enough time to get *OUT* of Talos.

Just wanna post here saying I played in Talos all night tonight on Virtue.

That said, it does seem to be laggier than anywhere else.

Here's the thing, Safe Mode does not let me log on to the character stuck in Talos whatsoever. Why does it work on others, though?
