No Ordinary Family
There was a thread about this before the great purge. Also check out The Cape, a super hero show on NBC slated for mid-season.
Sadly the buzz that both shows had at Comic-con was kind of meh. We'll see.

Saw the premier episode and it's pretty good. There are of course some super power things that just don't make sense since unlike Heroes they were going for an entertainment rather than authenticity feel. Overall though I enjoyed it and will continue to watch it.
*****SPOILER*****
The super power thing that bugged me most involves the Michael Chiklis character. His power is super strength and nigh invulnerability. His wife has super speed, he doesn't. But he can catch bullets.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Saw it as well, I enjoyed it; it has potential. Plus Chiklis and Benz have enough goodwill built up that I will give the show plenty of time.

No, bulk of the regular season starts the week of the 20th. No Ordinary Family starts Tuesday the 28th at 8:00, opposite of NCIS, Glee and The Biggest Loser.

I did not see this on the search. This is coming out on ABC this Fall, and I saw the trailer last night at SPvsTW.

I wonder if there will be a Doomish Character.
I predict... there will be a blooper clip on the Season 1 DVD where Chiklis says "It's clobberin time" accidentally.

I'm surprised search only turned up one thread mentioning this show. Just watched the premier and loved it, though I'm still not sure what the son's power is.
Here's to hoping the rest of the season isn't downhill.
I believe it actually premieres on TV next week. I usually like to watch the premiere of a show on TV to get it in its "proper" medium.
Unfortunately, I will be in Europe next week and will miss it and I don't really feel motivated to watch it now, so I will catch up when I get back.

I saw a brief commercial for this the other day and forgot the name and didn't see when it was going to be on. Hopefully I remember to watch it next Tuesday.

High resolution computer monitor vs 10 year old crt television. For me at least the computer IS the proper medium.

I actually find it harder to watch TV shows on the computer. Not that they are of a lesser quality, but I am more liable to wander off or surf the net while watching something on that computer than on the TV screen.
Which is why I want to give the new shows I am interested in my undivided attention via the TV

I could not find it on ABC instant view yet. We have no cable so we are going to watch it online. We saw a trailer for The Cape, and that looks good as well.
I'm deeply interested in this show and can't wait for it to be available online.

Well, in my mind if you actually had Super Strength by default you would have increased speed in your reflexes. Simply because your strength allows you to propel your arm at near Super Speed.
So while true super speed wouldn't be possible for him, the catching bullets part could be explained as just quick reflexes due to increased muscle tension.

Looking forward to watching this too. When I saw the trailer for it months ago, I've been waiting for it to premiere. Will be catching it next week. ^_^
