I love you, BBM. Not in the way of the ancient Greeks, but in the way a robot loves a human, a human loves a dog, and, occasionally, a gorilla loves a kitty.

ok my take, and only from my perspective.
1. you have been "just a friend"ed, get some ice cream and commence crying...err..i mean drink alcaholic beverages in a manly manner and punch things.
2. possibilities, but you will screw it up.
3. childish terminology, either indicates playfulness or innocent friend seeking, you will screw it up.
4. definite friend zone, indicates heightened playfulness but will go nowhere
5.possible real emotional attachment, you will screw it up
6. the person is a song from jet grind radio future, you will miss the next trick in the combo and screw it up.
7. absolute certainty of a good sign...you will screw it up.

EDIT:If you dont get joke number 6, its this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4aY8...eature=related

thought this might touch on hendrick and hendricks classifications, eros, storge, ludus, mania, pragma, and agape. and i was shamed by another classmate by not noticing that the first letters can be used to spell "slap me"

How do you figure?

Two of those are just repetitions for emphasis, one's a corruption of another and another isn't really a word so much as a symbol.

Hate
Loathe
Despise
Detest...

...ah hell, I see Agonus beat me to it.

Also, 'heart' and 'luv' are not really words in that way. 'Luv', 'lub' or even 'wub' being retarded spellings of 'love', and 'heart' being based off of a symbol that people used to put in to mean 'love', so it's all really the same thing exactly, just different pronunciations.

There are tons of words for hate, both the noun AND the verb version:

verb:
despise
loathe
detest
abhor

noun:
noun versions of most of the above words
odium
revulsion
disgust (towards a person)

And I'm sure there's many more when you get into slang or allow multi-word phrases in.

Technically, it's "fewer" words for hate.

I know...now you hate hate me.

This concept of 'wuv' confuses and INFURIATES US!

eh, the way i see the question, it is about nuance. some are more playful, some are more tilted towards platonic relationships, and some are more indicators of intimate relationships.

So I presume these silly versions ('luv' can pass as regional dialect, but wub and heart are certainly silly) are for masochists to express their love with? Cause anyone saying that to me is likely to get punched rather than ******.

The OP (don't call it that) reminds me of this quote from Arrested Development:

Quote:
Lucille: Look at what Buster sent from the Army.

Michael: It’s blacked out.

Oscar: Oh, the government. Keep... Yeah, keep reading.

Michael: “Sergeant Blank is treating me very blank, and it looks like I’ll be shipping off to blank in about a blank. I blank you, Mother. Buster.”

I honestly don't take that stuff seriously. Never really bothered trying to know a person to much. I just kinda sail through life having fun, so having a girl calling me 50 times a week "Heavily suggesting" that I meet her with her friends that I don't like, is not on my to-do list.
