Gladiator's Armor: +Res (Teleportation), +3% Def (All) For Sale

I have one of these for sale. I am selling it for 2.75 Billion. I can be reached most easily via in game email @Misaligned or by private message here on the forum. You can try and reach me via /tell but I am HORRIBLE at watching chat

Before anyone feels the need to complain / criticize me for attempting to sell this for this price, please look at the following:

1. If you do not like the price, you don't have to buy it. Ain't America great?

2. The recipe is a level 46 recipe. It is exactly identical in every stat as a level 10 or a level 50. There is no depreciated value of this enhancement because it is a 46 and not a 50. The level 10 is the same proc as a level 50 in this set. In fact, with it being a level 46, you can slot it 3 levels earlier, and it conveniently uses the same salvage as the 50!

3. At the time of this post. there are currently 200 bids on the market for this proc at various level ranges. There are none for sale. If you feel you can get a better price there, please by all means be my guest! I wish you nothing but the best of luck!

4. You may use your alignment merits to buy one of these from a vendor. They cost 30 alignment merits. This will take you at a minimum 20 days from the completion of your first A-Merit mission.

If you do go the "speedy" route, you will need to do 5 tip missions every day. You will need to do your morality mission every other day (that's 11 missions over 2 days) without fail. You can't do more than 5, so please make sure you do all 5 every day. You will also need to purchase an A-Merit every day. This can be done every day, only once a day. The cost is 20 mil + 50 reward merits. After 20 days you will have spent 400 mil and 1000 Reward merits.

If that is something you are capable of doing. you will save 2.35 billion (minus the 'value' of 1,000 reward merits).

You may choose to not purchase an A-Merit every day. By simply doing your tip missions and alignment missions, you can have 30 merits in as little as 60 days. For those who care, that's exactly 300 tip missions and 30 morality missions. 330 missions total. Including travel time and assuming you can "blow through" each of these, you will spend at least 6 minutes per mission. Time-wise, you will spend at least 1,980 minutes doing these. If you prefer, it is 33 hours. If you cannot complete one mission in 6 minutes (including travel time), you will take even more time to get those 30 A-Merits.

5. Please do not send me an email or a tell explaining how I am gouging the market. This is a game and you do not 'need' this enhancement. No one is forcing you to buy anything.

6. If you most sincerely want one of these, but lack the funds to buy one, or the ambition to farm A-Merits for one. I suggest you start working on your PvP skills. These can drop off any PvP foe (afaik).

What you are paying for at 2.75 billion is not so much a rare enhancement, but time. How much is your time worth to you? If its not worth much, than this isn't for you

Thanks, and good luck!

Wow...just Wow.

Or you could just buy a Steadfast, or take Combat Jumping, Weave, or Manuevers.

After reading that puffed up piece of "How Great Am I" I'd offer you 3 billions cuz you has the "bestest" +Res +3 Def IO evar!

To quote a famous rabbit, "What a maroon".

P.S. I'd bet you Misaligned has never had to sell a thing in his life. I'd recommend not insulting your potential customers in the future. You'd have sold it instantly by saying, "Gladiator's Armor +3 Def for Sale. 2.75 Billion or Best Offer. Thanks."

probably not. Best offer would have been 100mil, if that.

Players who really want those recipes will be turning to the Hero / Villain Merit system.

I had 2 of these things (a 50 and a 31) and dumped the 50 on market for 2B (-200M fee) and the 31 off market for 2.1B as soon as I saw how amerits worked. Most people will not pay obscene prices in the billions anymore because to them 2.75B is harder to acquire than the amerits to buy this thing the slow way (60 days).

Ergo......its not worth 2.75B atm unless you get lucky and hit one of the few people willing to pay that much who hasn't already.

Thanks for the bump Noght. I appreciate it.

However, had you done a small bit of looking, you would see that this is the 2nd time I have posted this particular proc. The first time was a 2 weeks ago? I got a lot of responses. All of them were negative. Frankly, I fail to understand why people get angry when someone is selling something for a price they think is too high. You don't have to buy it from me - why get angry?

2nd, I'd like to point out how my post is an echo of one your own. Its not about "How great am I" as you seem to think it is, its about time. That and not actually wanting people to get all cranked up over a sale of anything... especially in a game.

My Eyeballs bleed when I read this stuff.

Ok, here are some universal truths:

1. You don't need IO's or the market to play the game. SO's are fine (no really).

2. Infamy/Infuence isn't created by the market. Someone somewhere is playing the game and generating cash and drops (salvage, recipes, enhancements, whatever).

3. The ONLY limiting factor is TIME. I would argue that it seems "fair" to pay "play money" to someone who is willing to sell something you want rather than try to acquiring yourself using method 1. IF you've decided that you want lvl 35 Common IO's rather than buying SO's at lvl 35, 40, 45 and 50 why not pay a fee to someone who is willing to take their finite resource, i.e TIME, to "hold" if for you so you can buy the stuff you need for a level 35 IO.

4. Complaining about flipping seems silly because the "high" prices of products ENSURE that they are available whenever you want to buy them, feel free to "negotiate" a price. Why pay 50K for an Alchemical Silver when you can bid 25K and get it tomorrow.

If all the above is confusing to you take a toon to 35. Set a timer. Use the market for IO's, Salvage, Recipes to outfit it. Flip to alternate build. Set a timer. Go scrounge up the same stuff you need to outfit out that toon. Report back in a month when you are unable to get the stuff you need (assuming no AE tickets).

Heck I'll bankroll the experiment for you.

Then tell me if you don't think your TIME is more valuable then some "play money" that you've been complaining about.
Regardless, I took the opportunity to show people every way possible (with in-game mechanics) to get one of these without purchasing it from me. Clearly that makes me... a jerk?

Please feel free to continue to bump this thread. I appreciate it very much!

Pretty sure that is what I will be doing, buy one a day, and earn one every other day, that is 3 merits every 2 days, I plan on doing it with multiple toons too so getting what I want should come quick.

Does this mean any mob in a PvP zone, or is it still just off of other players, if it is just other players, I would advertise it like that, it is hard getting a group of people together that would willingly let you beat them up, might help you sell faster.

Hey M:

Never said you were a jerk. I don't have a problem with the selling price, I hope you get it. It was all about the tone. It's play money, some people don't grasp it and that's why all the snarling.

Soft sell it. That's all.

Noght

PS My copied post was in response to people "flaming" the market (once again), complaining about high prices. I'm all for more supply and demand, so I say get what the stuff is worth even if it's 2.75 B.

IIRC each morality merit costs 25 regular merits, 50 vanguard merits, and 10mil influence, and the Glad's Armor recipe costs 35 of those merits so the total cost would be... 875 reward merits, 1750 vanguard merits, and 350 million influence (and 30+ days to buy them). Did the conversion rates change or did I get them wrong?

I tend to use LotGs as my baseline merit converter, as of a week ago would've expected ~150mil per 200 merits converted into L25 LotGs (random rolls might see significantly better earnings but then again might see nothing but vendor trash). I've no idea what value to assign vanguard merits so not counting those or time-investment the floor value of the recipe would appear to be 950mil inf.

I suspect the days of 3bil+ sales for that recipe are a thing of the past but for the time and effort put into buying one directly 2bil could remain a reasonable selling point at the auction house.

Do they still use vanguard merits? I dont recall if they still do.

/gignore @username is the best feature of this game. It's also probably the least used feature.

100 million? Really?

Personally if I needed one buying for 2.75B seems like my best option. I can make more than that on the market in a month if I feel like putting the effort in.

The Glad Armor proc can be purchased with A-merits with 400mil inf and 1000 merits in 20 days. That's much faster than I can generate 2+ bil inf. 20mil inf and 50 merits a day can be done in a couple hours. I just hope this kills the off-market price enough to bring these things back on the market.
