Going Rogue Morality System - In plain English.

My experience thus far is that all missions, Tips and non-Tips, are lost when a morality switch is made. As long as you can still talk to the contacts, you can re-claim missions lost.

Lets assume My character is a hero and did the Morality mission and i picked to be Vig.

What would happen to the missions I have, not the tip mission, but the good old farm missions such as Battle Mainden and all. Do i get to keep those or would they carry over with me or I will lose them, or they would purge?

Thanks much in advance.

This is correct, as long as the mission still exists. If you are keeping an untimed Dreck mission, that would be gone forever. Then again, I've read reports that is already the case.

I know that I personally saw it repeated over and over that you have to be level 20 to chance sides, but it turns out that's not the case. You have to be over 20 to get the missions, but even before then, it turns out you can change sides - you just have to be grouped with people who can get and do the missions. (Also, since you don't have the tip UI, you can't tell how far you are along.)

My level 18 corrupter is a Rogue now
I suspect that is a bug as you don't even get the contact/alignment window until you train to level 20. If it was working for levels 1-19 there wouldn't need to be the restriction for critters to be level 20+ to drop tips.

Aww! No more level 18 Corruptors in Altas Park.

Putting it another way, it is the Patron Missions that are currently locked to the villain side, not specifically the PPPs. You must be a Villain/Rogue to do the missions and unlock the PPPs. But once they are unlocked, you can access them just as you can APPs.

And hopefully, if a mission to unlock them can be added on the hero side, they should become accessible with no problems.

Outstanding guide. Thanks for all your hard work.

I just switched to redside. I am vigilante, but cannot get invited to a VG -- it says I'm "the enemy". Do I have to be full villain? In broadcast people all say yes, you can be invited.

ETA: I have not bought "Going Rogue", if that's even available yet.

"Hey! You knocked generic cola all over your precious D20 books!"

If you are a vigilante, you are still a hero. So no, you can't be invited to a villain group.

You cannot possibly be a vigilante without owning Going Rogue in some form.

Did you pre-purchase so you could access Dual Pistols or Demon Summoning ($29.99 starting in the beginning of March)? Are you able to start a Praetorian? Did you get a morality mission and change from Hero to Vigilante? If you answer "yes" to any of these 3 questions, you have Going Rogue.

Going Rogue went live on August 17, 2010 with Issue 18.

New problem.
As of 12/22 my rogues can't pick up tips in talos.
I have old tip missions from before this date, but contacts in tip section have disappeared.
I have dropped one, but contact didn't reappear.
I have completed other two, but the contacts didn't reappear and their are no tips dropping.
I don't know if this is ltd to Talos, but I'm guessing it's in game mechanics rather than zone behavior.
This occurred after recent patching, which if I'm remembering correctly, now allows tips missions that haven't been selected yet to appear/reappear when changing alignment.

After 10 alignment missions of the same type, defeat level 20+ critters to get a Morality Mission tip to drop. This type of tip drop isn't restricted by the timer.

You can travel between Paragon City and the Rogue Isles in a few different ways:
Pocket D will be the easiest to transfer through.
The Vanguard base in the Rikti War Zone.
There is a submarine that transfers between Independence Port and Sharkhead Isle. Both these are shown on the minimap.
The Independence Port sub is located by the Freedom Corps store in the northwest of the zone.
The Sharkhead Isle sub is located just north of Potter's Field, almost directly south of the hospital.

I was ready to jump to paragon city but didnt now haw so I had to live the game come to the forums and read up on it if it would of been one of the 1-6s it would of been much faster.
thank you snow globe.

Can my Rogue MM receive the respec token from Terra Volta? Do I redeem it in Paragon City or the Rogue Isles?

The answer is "it depends".

Have you already earned 3 respecs from the villain respec trials? If so, then no you can't earn more from Terra Volta.

Rogues & Villains redeem respecs in the Rogue Isles.

Vigilantes & heroes redeem respecs in Paragon City.

I've been trying to switch to hero from villain. Made it to rogue status but I've gotten 2 rogue moral switch mish's but not one going over to hero. I've been at this for the last week and now I can't get one tip in 24 hrs. I'm at 9/10 for rogue but maxed on 5 tips. I read that moral switch mish will drop regardless but 24 hrs is a bit long to wait.

The problem you are experiencing is that you are just reinforcing your rogue status. What you need to do is head over to Paragon City and do HERO tips there, not in the Rogue Isles.

I tried but TL: DR kinda kicked in. After like the first line it all looks the same info wise.

Oh one more thing, with the alignment powers. Are they supposed to be in your powers window table to be able to drag and drop because I never saw one show up! I had the duplicity one show up in my status under the life bar but couldn't find the power?

The one in your status bar is "Countdown to X" where "X" is the alignment power. Basically it is counting down 7 days (right click on the power for a description) until you get the power. After that, yes, you have to drag it from the powers window to a tray.

Is there anything wrong with taking 10 hero tips and then choosing to stay rogue, or do you get something better for staying rogue at the end of 10 rogue tips?

Maybe this is a good lesson for doing away with the TLDR behavior pattern, then.

No, you're just lazy.

You're lazy to the point of robbing yourself of useful information and keeping your mind stimulated with learning new things, and making faulty assumptions because of that laziness. That is entirely your loss. If you're not going to read the material, don't comment on it as if you had. Doing so is a disservice to those that actually do spend the time reading what others have used their time to make available.
