New problem.
As of 12/22 my rogues can't pick up tips in talos.
I have old tip missions from before this date, but contacts in tip section have disappeared.
I have dropped one, but contact didn't reappear.
I have completed other two, but the contacts didn't reappear and their are no tips dropping.
I don't know if this is ltd to Talos, but I'm guessing it's in game mechanics rather than zone behavior.
This occurred after recent patching, which if I'm remembering correctly, now allows tips missions that haven't been selected yet to appear/reappear when changing alignment. -
Let down with i17 content? It's not a new sensation.
Positron tf halved, Epics available at lvl 20.. Do you get the feeling only the gripes of a noob majority are being listened to? After all they do make up the majority, with most veterans leaving the game.
Positon, a tf that can be completed in 3 hours by a team with at least 1 player who knows the ins and outs, halved..
Epics unlocked at lvl 20. Lvl 20 can be reached in a few hours on a farm map, so if people (new players) were that desperate to get one they could find themselves with 1 on the day of purchasing the game.
In the time I wasted on Jay's costume thread I think movable tails was umpteenth in the list of wants. Way behind the likes of..
Monstrous faces, that didn't all look like rabid hedgehogs (Yes, a bird's head could be a monstrous one).
A back pack - that did NOTHING!!! but was there to see, at the time dismissed because of animation problems - well there's several in game now, not to mention the purchasable one, plus wings, which all cope rather well.
Movable hair, or flowing hair. Not a favourite of mine but it was highly requested.
On top of this there has once again been a failure to allow villains access to the shadow shard or a lvl 50 contact with unlimited, non-timed missions. I understand we all got excited with the content for both heroes and villains to play together, but CoV has definitely suffered neglect over recent issues content-wise. 5 minutes in the MA could solve this problem, then we move it on to the live server...
I will continue this thread later, but for now I ask you to add to the list of missed opportunities. -

Not sure where 'Suggestions' moved to in this new look, over categorised mess of a forum, but I'd like to make one.
Designing, in an in-game editor, the name as it appears over your character's head.
Perhaps a few colours or 'Generic Hero 1' in italics, remember those? Ideally we'd be able to skew the perspective to add a little more 'Sup' to the Super.
Insert unnecessary 'time-consuming' why nots here... -

Ok, sorry for any confusion. What I'm asking for is the hold/sleep effect of the illusion blind power. Obviously with a smaller success rate.
I'd like to see a greater degree of realism. If a blinding flash occurs there's no admiration of how pretty it is, you simply can't see, full stop. Let's have that reaction in game.
As far as the 'no petition' rule goes.. I was unaware of that, but make no apologies. As a five year veteran I feel the community is generally ignored. I wouldn't even care, but those at dev central like to PREACH that they care for our opinions and not just for our cash.
Insert long list of player suggestions actioned here.. (BIG whoop-de-doo on the oh so important pvp changes, yawn) -

currently my toon is strictly for PVe but after getting to 41 last night and picking up focused accuracy and finding out that my toon is FOTM for tankersi might as well try him in PVP
the PVP zones i will be in mostly are RV and warburg i think
so i was hoping an experienced ICE/EM PVP veteran
could post his PVP build or a recommened PVP build

now, i no i have come a bit late and everything has been
said but i wanted to share my experience with my ice/EM tank
currently he is lvl 39 and i have loved him from lvl 1 but the thing that made me pick ice was defence rather then resistance just for a change of pace.
after getting to the 30s i fitted in aidself which included all the shields and the dull pain power (cant remember its really name)
i found that even with all my shields and a little boost from EA i still got hit far more times that i had to fit aid self in.
i respected at 33 and got rid of aid self and got taunt and whirling hands (after heavy persuation from fellow players)
at first i was fine without aid self when only fighting +1 enemies but +2 and +3 hit me to consistantly for my liking so i plan to respec bak into aid self.
YMMV but i do have to say that my secondary helped alot
all the stuns in EM plus the mag 3 stun in total focus really helped (not sure if its mag 3) not to mention the high damage i was putting out, even +2 lt feel with 2 hits
getting back to the question at hand i dont think ice is squishy, it has limits limits just like granite, for example
i was teamed with a granite, same lvl as me fighting +2 crey
he was confident he could hold aggro of entier room so i let him. within 4 mins he died which followed a team wipe with only me left in hibernate.
all my long winded explanation is trying to show is....
with X ammount of enemies even granite will fall eventually
and the same can be said for ice as well

good point OV, personally i usually PVP as a stalker and wanted to go to the other side and since ice tanks really gave me probs in PVP i thought, might as well..
also, i know this depends every nite, except on planned events, how often do defenders with CM etc.. actually PVP?
personally i cant imagine just buffing my team mates and not doing much after but then again my stalker usually does go for any squishy first -
i was looking at glacia armor and noticed it had +perception
so i thought that
glacia armor+focused accuracy+ tactics = you should see any stalker?
i just wanted to no if anyone has tried this combo and found it useful for stalker hunting. and plz tell me if im way off in someway
also i was wondering, can any other build pull this triple threat off on its own (without buffs from another toon) would be nice if it was only possible by ice tanks but i doubt that is the case

now im thinking 3 defence, 2 recharge 1 end mod would be a good idea -
just created an ICE/EM tanker an enjoying him atm
after looking at energy absorption i noticed it lets you recover endlooking at it twice i noticed it also boosts your defence to everything except psi damage
so my question is depending on my slots (i will eventually slot it 3 end mod, 3 def) how many mobs would i need to hit to get the full benifit from energy absorptions defence bonus
also, does any one have a recent guide to ICE/EM tanking? i cant seem to find one -
although its sad that after 25 views, no one felt the erge to post or maybe no one has dark/dark experience on these forums :P
however it doesnt matter now because after heaviy persuation from fellow players and looking at BS/regen at work ive deleted my dark/dark to make him.
perhaps if somebody posted a few positive comments or just answerd one of my questions he would still be around.....

i just made a dark/dark scrapper and im liking him much more then i thought i would
i just wanted to ask the good people in the forums
are there and powers i should definatly get/avoid
does anyone have a tried and tested build or even just a build that they could recommend?
also i heard dark can be end heavy so any tips regarding end red slotting would be helpful too
also if you could mention when i should get certain powers, that would be helpful too
also i was wondering, does death shroud crit at all??
i no it wouldnt do that much extra damage, but it would be nice if it did -

how easy is it to bypass /nin defences
wat powers can bypass its defences
and most important, if you have a defensive set, how offten are your defences made useless in PVP?
if its as often as i fear, i might as well re-roll an EM/regen -
i sense a pattern
but tbh your right but that is assuming your foe doesnt have high acc but at the same time im not sure how common that is in PVP
also i just thought, with hide and /nins 2 main defence toggles how many luck ins would i need to counter someone with tactics or focused acc? -
i was thinking of making a EM/nin toon for PVP but im not sure if regen would be a better choice.
i no that at high lvls /nin defence can be over come by per+
however regen means i will get hit alot...
can anyone with experience tell me how these two sets fair in sirens call, warburg and RV
and i no every body says "no set is the best" but in PVP situations, which secondary will increse my surviabilty
