Free Server Transfers

probably gonna move some some 50's to Freedom

Not moving a single toon off Infinity. Inf is one of the higher populated servers (obviously its not free/virt). I see a lot of people looking to go to something other than free/virt but that's still high, so infinity is a good bet for them.

Really I'd like to see more people promoted transfer TO infinity than talk about leaving, we had a really good community in the past, but it's slowly dying down.

Going Rogue should pull a lot of old players back in, so any other people we can get to transfer here would be bonus.

Also, it shocks me to hear you say Infinity is one of the more highly populated servers. I think it's time to combine a few.

well Infinity was always the third largest server, just over the past year it's quieted down some.

I've got to say that I'm more inclined to transfer TO Infinity rather than away from it.
And with GR, there will be more opportunities to help and/or team with some of the returning player base.

That being said, I do understand the reasoning behind moving dormant 50's to another server to make room for slots. I know I could never bring myself to delete a 50 to make room.

Hm, I'm kinda stuck on this. I transferred some characters around in January, the last time we had free transfers, so I could get one of each AT on Infinity, plus a couple of my old favorite characters. Got that, and now Inf is full up for me. And I don't really want to transfer any of them away, even though I now want space for new praetorians/vigilantes/rogues.

I was sort of hoping GR would come with a couple new slots. I don't get my next freebie until October.

Ditto. That's awesome. Maybe I won't have to send any characters away to die after all.

I plan on shuffling some characters around, but I'll probably just use the unlimited transfers as a way to rename people for free.

As it is, I have 3 open slots (of the max of 36 that are on it) on Infinity, plus one will free up as soon as the Brute that's holding the AP and Skyway mayhems for my lowbie Praetorians who will want Invader is deleted. I've also got a lot of 50s that I rarely ever play (twenty-six 50s on the server, including at least one of each AT, so... yeah). Now I just need to decide how many of those unplayed 50s are going to be moved to make room.

Coming back to CoX after some time away from it I will probably move some of my lowbie alts to another server (Virtue most likely), but leave the higher level "mains" where they are on Infinity.

Seeing as I play at odd hours of the day (8a-4p EST Sun-Weds) I am more motivated to go with a server that has at least -some- activity during the time I am active - and sadly, for some reason Infinity doesn't have that :-/.

Actually, I'm thinking of moving to Infinity from Virtue. I've been on Virtue for the last 4 years, and have noticed its steady deterioration into a bunch of cliquish, nitpicking group of demon/angel/troll/werewolf/vampire crossbreeds. The non-RP'ers are constantly harping on the RP'ers, and Pocket D is the center of public ERP. Small V/SG's can never get off the ground, large V/SG's don't care about you unless you're a prestige mule.

I'm moving all my 50's out into the hinterlands of Protector. The 40's are heading to Freedom so I can get them over that last hump into 50. The 25's-39's are heading to Infinity and Justice. Hopefully there'll be some V/SG's and teams out here?

I will be moving a couple rarely used characters from both Justice and Infinity to Guardian where I have only two characters, so that I have room for new characters. Also, I will be moving one away... and then right back again (he will be taking advantage of the "name change loophole").

I have been on Infinity since I bought the game back in July 2004, I've seen this server so crowded, but most are just standing around socialising, to folks just showing up en masse for new patch, AT's...ect, to players just showing up for raids....

...you name the scenario, I've seen it all on Infinity. But I will say this in favor of this server; Everytime I roll out a new character, I have NO problem finding teams.

I am not in a large SG or Coalition, I have no "friends", I am not in a clique.

What I do to get what I need? I simply play.

I put my name in the search box as available for whatever. I team up with whoever, I get my characters leveled up to 50, normally in about 2 weeks, without farming, powerleveling or any of that. I've done that with all 11 of my level 50 toons.

I simply play.

To all those thinking of moving away from Infinity, that is your choice, dont let the door hit you on the way out; but never assume that the "grass is greener on the other side".

Infinity will always be a great server to play, those of you that think nothing much is happening here, you would be incorrect.

I will never leave this server, even if I am the only player here.

I won't be leaving Infinity, but I'll probably be pushing a couple off to other servers--I need space, and I can't justify buying more slots. The main problem being all but one of my 50's are so dang useful. I could always get rid of my fail brute. Gods, he was a pain.
