    Continue Testing

    Hello Gang!

A few years back I made a AE task force, it got pretty good reviews then...

I have since then, tweaked it to make it flow a bit faster; I welcome you all to give it a try when you want to do something "different".

It's not a farmer, this TF actually has a storyline and some surprises along the way, my def test solo'd it on low diff in under an hour; I recommend a diff setting no higher than 2/3, the mobs are um...different.

Anyways, the ID# is 11569 "The impossible happens when you're not prepared", make a team and try it out!

I have a couple other TF's in AE that I am re-tweaking...stay tuned!

    and Continue Testing!
  2. Hello Exalted!

I would like to put together a team or teams to start running Apex task force, beginning tomorrow evening October 5, 2011 at about 7p.m. Central time.

The Apex Task force is big fun, fairly brief and lucrative.

Must be level 50 and have Alpha unlocked.

In case of overwhelming response, I am looking for experience Apex players to lead overflow teams, no signup sheets, just look for Continue Testing.

What is the Apex Task Force?

It is 40 merits, 10 Threads and 1 Astral in about 30-45 minutes

Yes there are multiple badges which unlock the Masters:

Weapon Master, Drone Protector, Burden Bearer and Already Dead.

8 to a team, mobs are Praet Clocks, IDF, Hydra and Ritki.

Recommended Team Build: Just about any will do, debuffers will come in handy and tanks that can tp are a plus, but not really needed (the tp, I mean).

If you dont have your Alpha Slot unlocked, you will find this TF VERY HARD (you would be debuffed to level 46), but I'm sure thats not a issue.

Well, tomorrow at 7pm CENTRAL US meet me at Apex in the Ritki War Zone, those that are interested.
  3. Greetings All!

I have been playing this game for quite some time, and I have learned a few things:

    1. Make sure when you update your drivers, completely rid your hard drive of the old drivers and reboot before installing the new ones; driver sweeper is one program that works good, but I've found that running my registry cleaner makes doubly sure.

    2. You either use the settings on the graphics driver or the game, not both.

    3. Use the lowest settings in either case, and then "sneak up" until you get a good framerate and picture quality.

    4. For those with lower end graphic cards, there is a program called mobility modder (google it), it has saved me from tossing a many computer out of the window, read and follow the instructions first (the tech support dept told me about that program btw).

    5. When you are playing, turn off all other programs that are running down there by your clock, I personally only have my anti virus running while in game.

    6. Remember Item #2? If you use the games graphics settings, avoid "ultra mode" at first.

    7. New does not always mean better, sometimes you get better (or at least tolerable) performance with the driver you have, if properly configured.

    8. Turn off all unnecessary windows services ( I actually googled that exact phrase and found excellent articles and tutorials), the reason being that some of those services may be robbing you of useful memory, which your graphics could be using.

    9. Keep your computer cool and dust free.

    10. Defrag hard drive ....twice in a row, use a defrag program other than the windows, I use auslogics, its free and pretty darn good, when the servers are down I run Ultimate Defrag 3 (its not free).

    11. Now this point I discovered last night; for the past week I had been battling a major rubberbanding issue, so I did a wipe of CoH and the launcher, reinstalled both with my same driver, logged in the game early this morning and my rubberbanding had stopped!

    ....so far.

    12. The tech support dept is very good, write them with your problems and follow their advice, they haven't let me down in 7 years.

Well, that's all I have learned about graphics, drivers and CoH, I hope some or all of this helps.

    Exalted Channels

I am on about 3-4 of the above listed channels, and have been able to run on average 3 tf's per game session, and a ton of tip missions; so much so, my new "vip" toon hit lvl 50 in a shade over a week! (and without farming...not that there's anything wrong with that, my luck just fell that way)

I just wish that more experienced players would hook up and run I-trials, lots and lots of I-trials...

....I'm just holding out hope that they are rolling alts, and bringing them up...maybe in a month or so we will see regular trials running.
  5. Continue Testing - TM/Fire Blast Defender

On my "home server", all 3 of my defenders have every MO in rwz, will be happy to join!
  6. Hello everyone!

I dont know about anyone else on Exalted, but I am thrilled to play with everyone from all the other servers, new people, new toons, new everything! Woohoo!

Now that I got that out of the way, allow me to speak my peace on a couple things:

We are all strangers to each other, we come from different servers and from what I've seen since 2004, each has their own "technique" for winning...nothing wrong with that.

That being said, I believe that because we are "diverse", we should take the time to learn from each other as far as winning this game is concerned; what do I mean by that?

If you are used to beating a tf, trial or whatever in under whatever minutes in the past, doesnt mean that your new teammates share that experience or concern, remember its just a game, we dont get any trophies or cash prizes for playing this, CNN isnt going to interview you as being the top dog or anything like that, so chill and have fun mmkay?

The server I from which I hail, the experienced players actually teach the rookies how to win a tf/trial/whatever, so when they are not around, its not a bunch of players standing around scared to form a team (you know what I mean), but like I said, not every server does things the same exact way; but, its just a game, if we take this time to get to know how each others techniques to win here, we will be a greater community of games, and not just a online assortments of cliques that happens to play a pc game together.

    Lets see, what else....ah yes SG invites, some of the invites I've gotten was basically;
" Hey I need you to help me get prestige for the base" Um...no thank you.
How about a theme, a common thread, heck I'll even accept a decent jingle, any of that make sense? Well, until it does, how about not making a SG just yet?

We are all brand new to each other, and as the old saying goes, "First Impressions are the lasting impression." Lets impress each other with greatness of word, and epic battles and keep an open mind to other ways of winning, not just the way you are accustomed.

Well, that is all I wanted to put out there, I'm not one for forum discusions or debates, just felt a need to get this off my chest, now I am going to see which toon I'm gonna transfer over!

    Take care
  7. I love City of Heroes! Even though, the rolling of a new toon and leveling up process has gotten easier and quicker than in the days of yore, its still a process...

....but, this game is never the same game twice, one day you can solo Marauder, the very next day Marauder footstomps you into oblivion!

I like the "stick to it-ness" of the average player here, even if the team is just plain outgunned, most players keep trying till a mission complete splashes on screen...other mmo's, not so much.

I stay because I want to improve my "gamesmanship", every session I learn something about my character, power tray setup and enhancements to tweak, to make my toons more awesomer (yes, thats a word.).

I will be receiving my 66 month badge soon, even though this is not the only ncsoft game I play (Guild Wars), CoH gets the priority because during events, Infinity players show up and its like battle royale! I love it!

Friends? nah. Give me an epic battle anyday with toons I've never seen or heard of before and I'm gonna keep forking over the 15 bucks lol!
  8. I would love to get in on the new arc, I can bring either:

Night Ranger Setepen lvl 50 Blaster or
NR Isis TA/Rad Blast Def or
    NR Hathor Rad Emission/Archery
  9. I have been on Infinity since I bought the game back in July 2004, I've seen this server so crowded, but most are just standing around socialising, to folks just showing up en masse for new patch, AT's...ect, to players just showing up for raids....

...you name the scenario, I've seen it all on Infinity. But I will say this in favor of this server; Everytime I roll out a new character, I have NO problem finding teams.

I am not in a large SG or Coalition, I have no "friends", I am not in a clique.

What I do to get what I need? I simply play.

I put my name in the search box as available for whatever. I team up with whoever, I get my characters leveled up to 50, normally in about 2 weeks, without farming, powerleveling or any of that. I've done that with all 11 of my level 50 toons.

    I simply play.

To all those thinking of moving away from Infinity, that is your choice, dont let the door hit you on the way out; but never assume that the "grass is greener on the other side".

Infinity will always be a great server to play, those of you that think nothing much is happening here, you would be incorrect.

I will never leave this server, even if I am the only player here.
  10. Raid Anytme, Anyday! I can lead blue team if needed.

    Sincerely;

Night Ranger Isis & Night Ranger Sheba
