After the intial re-surge that came with CoV, Infinity has been on an ever downslide. This has been the server I started on, I brought my friends to, and I enjoyed for a very long time. But finding groups got harder, the SG/VG's got worse, and everyone I brought to the game left after getting bored solo-ing all the time or dealing with worse drama that any other game they played. I never see Infinity's population up enough to even be in the running for the top 5 places, so it would be nice to perhaps see it merged with another low pop server and have some new blood injected into it.
I would definitely say Infinity was in the Top 5 back in the day.
And maybe you just haven't been on... GR has this place bumpin'. It's so nice to see.
Unfortunately, I haven't taken advantage of it, choosing instead to solo and go through the story arcs so I can get all of the story. Damn my nerdiness.

And insert tired response of I don't have trouble finding teams. You ask people or you have a friends list for a reason. There are global chat channels. People still occasionally say things in zones, like broadcast chat. Also, the past couple nights the game has been packed. Just because it's not Freedom's population, it's not dead. Is it the busiest? No, but it's not low-pop, comparatively speaking.
Infinity isn't the best server, but I really don't see the basis of the accusations, but I'd love for you to set me in my place.

And kudos to you for being the most grouped player ever in the history of Inifinty! /golf clap for effect... There may be broadcasts and people grouping, but my comment was in comparison to then and now. It is clearly not what it used to be, as many have stated. Once the "new" of GR is gone and the shine is dull, the pop will drop again.
To set you in your place, as you seem to desire - The basis of my accusations is experience. What have you got? It's not rocket science. It doesn't require much to see the drop, or the status, if one had played from the beginning. And who's accusing anything of anything? WTH is the deal? You want to play on Infinity, cool. Enjoy it! I stated my view and there's no need for the drama over it. Sheesh...
With Freedom and Virtue and another I can't recall having had waiting lines to get on them and often running red I moved a toon I had to start on another server (due to the store being down) back to Infinity. I also deleted an unused toon so I could make another.
Infinity seems to be a good balance of not too busy but active ATM. I hope it holds.

As you mentioned experience, I haven't noticed a real dip in Infinity's population till i13 came around.
People can request it all they want, but merging servers is a stupid idea, ESPECIALLY when people are forced to rename characters.

While I realize your experience is Infinity is a low-pop server with lots of drama, unfortunately for you, there are actually a lot of people in the game, and a fair number on Infinity, so different people are going to have different experiences. I am actually not on teams a lot lately. Why? I can't sit for more then ten minutes before something comes up that I have to handle, whether for five minutes or an hour, and I'm not teaming with that situation. But when I can team, I don't have issues finding people to join up with, even if it's just one other person for a couple missions. But guess who are on a lot of teams? People on my friend's list. People inviting me to nearly full teams. People in the global chat channels I haunt. I am sorry for whatever reason you can't find them, but I swear they're out there.
To sum it up, what have I got? Experience. I would apologize, but I'm giggling. And before you accuse me of gloating or some other random what have you, I'm giggling because I never took it seriously in the first place. You accused Infinity of being low pop and high drama. I was just curious where you got the idea from. Sorry I rubbed you the wrong way, bubba, but I'm here to play a game.

I'll be moving all my characters I don't play so much anymore but put too much time into to delete(I'm looking at you, Ice/Cold Corruptor) over to Infinity. It's actually my first server but I quickly saw Freedom was the most popular 4 years ago but now it's gotten a bit out of hand. Hope to see some fresh faces.
