Soloing Diabolique...

...who's managed to pull this off with a scrapper?

I was trying today with my DB/WP. I was surviving just fine. I even got her to 5k hit points, but then she'd run off and heal up to 10k, at which point I'd get her down to 5k then she'd run off again.

Any tips?

I believe Shred Monkey has. I believe it involved vast quantities of large reds and a lot of luck, but I could be misremembering.

Really? And I was avoiding using any inspirations at all. Sticking trickly with my own powers (and accolades).

I haven't run any numbers, but I'm willing to believe that no Scrapper has the raw DPS to take down Diabolique. I could be wrong.

I use to think my claws/sr could pull it off. Then after about 30 minutes of no progress I gave up. Gonna have to try her on my katana/regen... yes I said regen...

Yea, I tried with my claws/sr and gave up after 45 mins... I just zoned and kept hitting the same 3 buttons over and over until I realized how long it had been.

I'll have to try it on my dark/shield..............

I took her down solo on my FM/SR, but as Werner said earlier, you'll have to use red insps. I think I used 16 of them. I used eight at a time and it took me two turns of me hitting and her PFFing before she gave in.

I killed her with reds.

I suspect dm/shield would have trouble due to the fight being too long to keep soul drain/aao fodder alive, but I'd love to be wrong. Perhaps a fire/shield could be built to handle it.

I know I won't be trying. I'm not nearly as patient as I used to be. I even pack envenom daggers on pick-up ITFs just in case there's no good debuffers.

So I spent the better part of 3 hours trying to kill her, got her down to about 1/4 her health and then wam she'd take off like a bat out of hell. Yep no dice lol

I remember she was the first one I ran into on my dm/sr that I couldn't kill with the no insp approach. I remember distinctly wanting to head butt my monitor several times until I finally gave in and got a full tray of red insps. Even then it took a few tries, llady nike is a PITA lol.

She's one of the few AVs my Katana/SR couldn't solo. I've never been much for advertising my successes, but I have no problem saying she kicked my favorite Scrapper's ***.

Which flash back missions is she in I can try and run my fire/sd at her I will take a bunch of reds for when I get mad and have to save my keyboard.

I know the stupid wolf hunter I soloed him with no inspiration and it took for ever because he kept healing himself that was an older build with less dps then I have now

I just finished getting the badge for defeating all of the Praetorians last night on my Mind Control/Radiation controller.

I solo'd all of the Praetorians (as Elite Bosses obviously) except for:

ShadowHunter - can't do enough dmg to drop him before his Earth's Embrace recharges
Siege - robot . . . mind control doesn't do diddly damage vs robots
Nightstar - ditto
Tyrant - yeah, no chance of solo'ing him but he went down fast as an AV vs. a full team

All the other Praetorians, I did manage to solo. Got to admit that Diabolique is probably the most annoying one to fight though, what with her "hey I'm losing...zoom zoom" mentality.

[did everybody, then realize I had missed Nightstar during Maria's Arc and had to re-do ShadowHunter, Siege, Chimera, and Dominatrix before Maria would give me Nightstar's individual mission...that was annoying]

I remember there being one AV that loads as a level 51 sometimes and 50 others... was it Diablolique?
