AFK PVP IO farming against the Rules?
I belive this was discussed recently on Beef's site. It is not an exploit, even though its a crappy thing its not really a cheat cause you can be greifed easily.
If you howver found some error in geometry in game to hide it would be.

What is Farm Busting?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Enjoy your day please.

Just a thought, does Force Bubble show up in combat logs when you're being pushed all over the place? Me and a buddy have 1 bubbler each and regularly play soccer, thinking maybe you became someone's object of amusement for a little while.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but if it violates the EULA--go for it.

Obviously some amount of AFK activity is condoned as acceptable.
Was just about to say this. If being Force bubble'd doesn't show up in the log, BOOM! Roasted.

I'm not sure it's being condoned so much as it is they don't have a way to stop it that wouldn't bring negative consequences. However, I'd hope that our devs are smart enough to realize that if you have people AFK farming for something, the bar may be set too high.

Here's a question for you then.. If, as you suggest, any AFK activity is a violation of the EULA, then why are dozens of threads on how to do so allowed to exist in the badging section of the forum? Why aren't they nuked by the mods? Those kind of guides have been around for years.

I know did the AFK PvP farming once.
I set it the night before, woke up the next morning, went to work, came back from work, watch some TV, ate dinner and then came back to the computer.
Sometime during that time, my rezer some how was in the hospital, along with the killer. Looked through the combat logs and there was nothing saying the killer had died, but there was record of the rezer being killed by a player. Thought it odd. (I also noted that not all the combat log was there, seems the game can only hold so many MB of text).
Not gona say a GM did it, I figured another player came
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
If not a GM then you explain what can teleport a player halfway across a zone instantly without showing up in the combat log?
|
However, to provide the requested explanation -
I've been in one place, only to find myself completely across the map before. It was odd, and I know a villain didn't tp me. Apparently, I was "put in my place". The mapserver thought I was supposed to be one place, my computer showed me in another. It was basically a large rubber band episode.
You sound experienced enough to identify rubber banding, so perhaps my explanation is useless.
The only other time I was "teleported" to some location I didn't authorize was during the Ritki Mothership Raid, when I touched something or went too close to something and got located to the other side of the mothership, a good distance away from it.
I can assure you that the devs, though preferring you actually play the game for the joy of it, are highly unlikely to disturb your play, whether you're afk in an old Drecks mission that has no timer, or in an AE farm mission. If you're not disturbing the play of others, I don't see the GMs wasting their time.
Just my opinion, though.

If you die in pvp zone your are TP'd to hospital, how can you farm that???
Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.
@Roderick
I'm assuming they go into ouro TF mode so that they don't get auto logged out or something?
Where to now?

don'T attempt to read tHis mEssaGe, And believe Me, it is not a codE.
It is not rubberbanding. Has happened to me after a few hours of beating on a toon, then presto! I highly doubt it is a GM... Wouldnt it just be easier for them to kill you? I haven't been shifted to opposite ends of a map, I have however been shifted to the opposite side of the same building repeatedly.
Because for some reason he feels the need to post everytime his farm is broken up...
