Well golly g wally maybe it could be adults only content the whole concept should SCREAM to the likes of the smart and witty, "Not for Kids". Anyway id love for this to happen hyperfoil I really would. I am so sorry that I didnt squeeze every tiny detail of my idea out for this particular post. LOL Quite honoestly if I ever met you in the game id probably not like you very much anyway. You seem so... well really high strung. cya and REALLY wouldnt wanna be ya.

I did say that I was sorry about the post. But excuse me if I don't want this game to turn into a horror movie. With my hero splattering innocent bystanders with globs of blood and entrails.

Haha... And here I thought Hydrofoil_Zero mistakenly took a joke post seriously... But I was wrong!

Well, IonMattrix, I'm not knocking your idea, because I'd actually enjoy some sort of game with super extreme kills (I've actually had a horror monster/psycho-killer/action-hero/villain game plan for a while now)... But I'd never want to see that for CoH!
Still, I'm not saying such a thing wouldn't be popular or fun.
I just don't think this is the game to turn into that. At least... not officially.

1) AoC anyone? With beheadings, throat-slittings, charred lightning-slammed bodies and corpsepyres?

2) Agreed, but only because of the rating of the game. They can see plenty of it on cable any time of day. LET'S BAN TELEVISION!

3)Then you really need to get out more.

4) Your right, of course, to take your money elsewhere. I wouldn't want to see it in this game personally, either, because IMO it just doesn't fit. But take a breath and back up.

Not really a question for Television. He's a programmer, so you need to ask him engine-related questions. Stuff like "Is the game physics engine going to be ported to OpenCL now that Intel also has an OpenCL SKD out?" and "are we going to see any improvements to the compression algorithms used to minimize network data transmission?"

Your question would best be suited for developer behind Dr. Aeon, although I can go-ahead and answer it.

AE content expansion is generally done on a cyclic basis, allowing 2 or 3 issues to pass with "new" content limited to developer use. Assuming the issue-exclusive policy hasn't change, we won't be seeing the new enemies introduced in the incarnate trials in Architect Entertainment till Issue 22 or 23.

Well, i'll gonna ask ~

What's the TV's toughest challenge to deal with, engine-wise ? The engine itself, adding more content that pushes the limits of it, or certain problems that exist all the time and are difficult to fix/have a solution for it ?

Any Dev.

Several queries;

1) Global Friends - Would be nice to include their last log on date so if people need to clear up their globals to make room for new friends, it would be possible. *OR* Lift the limit of how many global friends one can have.

2) Villain/Super Group Bases - We need some serious loving here. Nothing's been done or made available to base maintainers/designers in YEARS. What gives?? Some of us take great pride in our handiwork. We'd like to make improvements. I, for one, would love to see water effects for Bases. Fountains, waterfalls, rivers, etc. Allow more salvage/inspiration/enhancement holders in smaller bases. Allow recipe storage. Increase vault storage. Allow other themes; not just Tech or Arcane.

3) Stalkers - Ok, I get it. All you Devs are Heroes and hate us with a passion. Still no reason to gut Stalkers and make them the weakest HP melees in the game. At least make our HP level on par with Scrappers. Not asking for Brute or Tank level, but at least for pity's sake, make Stalkers on par HP-wise with Scrappers. It's not fair that one of the most versatile A/T's gets screwed left and right.

4) VEAT's - What is it? Are you scared that they'll overwhelm your precious heroes?? Is that why you nerfed them to the where they're basically not worth playing? Not to mention, HEAT's get prime travel powers gratis and VEAT's don't. That's a crime.


I'm not trying to be snarky. I'm honestly curious.

I am the sole surviving member and now leader of a defunct SG with a huge BAse. I want to rename and repurpose the SG and keep the base, but that is not currently possible.

will this be coming available soon?

Dear Television,

Television was always there to help me through my adolescent abandonment issues. However, recently I have felt abandoned by television because the current CoH engine supports fast and twitchy PvP yet this is not what we currently have. When can we expect PvP to be revisited so that we can continue to benefit from this excellent engine without TS?

I have a question about the Mastery Powers. Is there a chance that the corrupters,defenders etc will get Physical Mastery to give us some ability to be less squishy? Because as it stands the melee guys get our range abilities with dark mastery,mu mastery etc but we get nothing to balance that,just more ranged powers really. With something like Physical mastery we could beef up our defense and damage resistance as well as health and endurance regeneration. On the villian side only I think Mu mastery has some damage resistance. Personally playing corrupters and some of the other ranged classes opened my eyes to this imbalance as I for the most part tend to play stalkers (Yay stealth kill!) and I for one would cheerfully swap out the Mu with the one damage resistance I have for something that gave me much better resistance and some health and endurance.

Television has actually moved on to a new project at Paragon Studios. However, I can say that most of the epic power pools for Corruptors and Defenders have resistance or defense toggles. Scorpion Shield in particular has smash/lethal/energy defense. Mu, Soul, and Leviathan have resistance toggles. Dark, Electric, and Power, and Psychic mastery also have res toggles.

Yes they do....but we still dont take damage at higher levels in the same way. Were still squishy...just not as squishy as we were at low levels. Think about the added benifits of someone who has good or better than good defense and damage soak who does decent close range damage getting decent good range damage vs someone who has ok devfense/damage soak and good ranged damage...getting more ranged damage. It is a valid point.

Television is also a programmer, and even when working on this game had no real input into the way powers and powersets were designed. I'm simply saying your assertion that most of the epics don't have mitigation powers isn't true. If you believe they are not strong enough, that's a different discussion that won't get addressed here.

I have a question. How much influence will it take to bribe an OP into spawning an army of Nemesis in my SG base so i can see my defenses actually do something other then just sit there?

I made a cool choke point and well, I'd like to see someone choke on it hehe.

Is there any in game extra secret quest/room/place that keeps unknown/uncompleted/undiscover ? If so can you give us some tips. If there is none are you planing to implement some ?

This thread is an old thread, and references a developer that is no longer working on City of Heroes (he's now working on a different project within Paragon Studios).

Titan_Destroyer: see Paragonwiki's page on easter eggs and also specifically the egg hunter exploration badge.

BlueClaw: bribing developers with in-game currency of a game they write, that they can grant unlimited amounts of to anyone they want, is unlikely to be effective. On the other hand, if you want me to pass the request along to a developer, I take cash.
