  1. I like shock wave, but then again I enjoy tossing baddies around and I'm not really all that annoyed by knock backs unless I'm herding and you scatter my pile.
  2. I have a question. How much influence will it take to bribe an OP into spawning an army of Nemesis in my SG base so i can see my defenses actually do something other then just sit there?

    I made a cool choke point and well, I'd like to see someone choke on it hehe.
  3. I want a BlueClaw Task Force, i mean a WW task force!

    BTW when you guys create a new zone can my main be the trainer in it? Hes been around a long time and he knows a lot of stuff. Like how not to draw to much agro, where to get the best deals on IO's, how to ask a carnie girls out and NOT get lured into a trap! You know, the important things lowbies need to know.
  4. Doesn't Paragon City need weather before it has weather reports?

    Sorry, just a tad bitter because a hero needs a decent thunderstorm to pull off the Spawn on a building look and apparently the city isn't water proof so the devs said "No Rain!" :/

    I guess I'm weird like that. I love games with immersion and cool highly dynamic weather patterns. Weather patterns like the ones in modded Fallout3 would make coh just ooze eye candy.

    Merging servers.

    @Dechs

    Though i disagree with a lot of what you pasted at least you've given the subject some thought.

    Merging servers.

    I recently returned to coh after year long absence and I'll tell you what, it was very saddening. Servers like Justice and others are damn ghost towns. Zones like Talos and PI have as much traffic as Eden, and that's not saying much considering no one hangs out in Eden.

    I was wondering if DEVs have given any thought to merging some of the servers together to boost the in game population. As an older player i don't mind a little soloing, nor am i overly attached to anyone server. But i have to wonder how NC soft expects this game to bounce back if new players are logging in to near empty zones. It was bad enough when COV went live and half the COH in zone population disappeared. If a new player can't find people to team with there's a good chance they'll bounce to some other game. They may never give COH another chance and may slander this great game to their friends.

    I know it easy for me to say Stuff like NCSoft need to advertise on TV more, or maybe consider a free to play scheme to bring in new players but i know those cost money. A server merge on the other hand should be pretty cheap and though that in itself won't bring in new players at least it would help preserve the players base. It would buy us time to enjoy this game and NCSoft time to implement new strategies to increase the gaming population.
  7. Personally im sure that eventually the devs will anounce the COH players will get SG bases without having to buy COV. Though they may lack certain features that are COV specific i beleave for the most part they'll be very similar in functionality as what you get with COV. Honestly its kinda pointless to put Items of Power in a COH only base patch when no one could raid your base. The same would probably hold true for working turrents and such unless they created some sort of senerio where on occasion normal (pve) enemies attacked your base sorta like the old XCOM series. ( Which btw would be super cool, and probably as simple to implement as a huge ambush inside your base. Just make it scale to however many ppl are currently online and have a timer running to allow sg members to mobilize to the bases defense before the doors are sealed and the base is majorly damaged. What the hell! Malta are attacking!!! HINT HINT HINT <---btw this was a HINT!!!! Also in case you guys didnt know, we players call this kinda stuff CONTANT)

    I think it would be a total and complete slap in the face to FORCE ppl to buy COV to get a feature that should of shipped with COH. About a week ago our small but fun SG celebrated our 1 yr anniversary together, not bad considering the game is itself is not much older. To imply that we as a group are not worthy of SG base after paying cryptic for 2 copies of the game and for 2 account for over a year (and thats just me and not the other 10 ppl in our sg) would be like begging us to leave the game. To say that if we want this feature we have to go out and buy 2 more games(my gf and i) and pay for 2 more plaync accounts is just gonna cost them customers because i know myself and my sg members, we'd just move our guild to some other game and see how their devs like the taste of our money. But to be honest im not really worried, though ive seen the devs make plenty of errors in judgement i dont think theyd make one this freakin huge.

    Its understandable that they would try to lure people to COV because after all Cryptic is a business and businessmen seldom do as much for the love of the game as they do for love of the Lexus. Its also understandable that like a lot of software companies they would hang a killer app infront of our nose like a carrot on a stick in hopes we would buy their product. With all this understood though i would like to give the devs a small piece of advice, DONT make sg bases the carrot because that sucker will wilt and turn toxic on you real quick. There are way to many mmorpgs out there and more on the way. The lack of gear, tradeskills and lack of contant has already driven alot of people away and many more are contemplating it. The last thing im sure you guys wanna do is help scuttle your own game. Hell its bad enough youre trying to force us to buy COV to play a villian when every other games allow you to make a evil character from the the start and do it for free.

    On a side note, rent wouldnt be so bad aslong as it and the costs of building the base werent obscene. Hell most sgs have quite a bit of inf built up amongst their heros and since there isnt any gear or crafting to spend it on base up keep may be just the the thing to keep players playing(ie the carrot).
