Discussion thread for next run of Isolators - weekly sg group w/ "open" "membership"
Going to be getting my Electric Face on with Going Rogue. I have plans for an Elec/Elec Brute and the same combo for a Dominator (assuming that looks as good as it does for Controllers... I like being able to solo).
I dunno, I would think it's worth waiting for Going Rogue. It's only a couple of more sessions. Could just plan out some strike forces for the next two sessions or something.

I'd really prefer starting in Praetoria, and not having a SG until we get out does not bug me at all. I would rather be able to access Corrupters instead of setteling for a Defender I will probably be bored with, and get to smash some new faces.
Now, usually Isos involve multiple teams running, right? Couldnt there be a non-Praetorian team for those who dont have the pack, or want SGs badly enough to skip the new area?
@Incarnadine - 50s on Victory:
Electric-Boogaloo (Electric/Psy Dominator) | Floating Flame (Fire/Psy Blaster) | Guldo Golem (Stone/Mace Tanker) | Hornak (Elec/Elec Brute) | Insatiable Greed (Demon/Dark Mastermind) | Solar Explorer (Plant/Thermal Controller) | TimeTraveler (Kin/Ice Defender) | Verranil (Emp/Archery Defender)
The real question here is how will, or will, Praetoria be worked into the rotation. Say we go with Praetoria->Hero this time, what's next?
There are 4 options now. Hero, Villain, Praetoria->Hero, Preatoria->Villain. Or we could even just cut it down to two by cutting out Praetoria or cutting out the Hero/Villain 1-20 content but I don't think we should do that.
If we go with the 4 option option to keep the hero/villain alternation on the 20+ content as I have it listed above is about the only real option even though it duplicates the 1-20 Praetoria run (2 in, 2 out) otherwise we're duplicating the end game content. Personally I'd rather duplicate the 1-20 in this instance since it's only 3 sessions or so out of the whole run.
I guess all that puts my vote to Praetoria->Hero, I was just wordy about it.

I want Petoria-hero because I want to do an elec/elec dominator.

Rock, rock on Hamster.
At the rate Iso's level Preatoria will be a blur. Well maybe not. The MANDATORY solo missions might slow us down.
I can't decide what to run. Dark/Dark scrapper, KM/WP scrapper, or a SS/WP tank. Any suggestions?

Hmm. Depends on how you feel about certain issues. Just finished running a DM/DA scrapper to 50 a few weeks ago. It has a lot of damage potential but is a massive endurance hog with all the toggles. You also have to deal with self heals that do accuracy checks. It is fun but you really have to keep your eyes on the blue bar.
I have a wp/axe and inv/ss tank. Plus my last iso brute was ss/wp. WP is a good solid set that "can" have issues at times with alpha strikes and is one of those armors that pretty much require 8 of the 9 powers. Taking tough really helps this set and weave is nice to have if you can fit it in. The really good part of pairing ss and wp is that since wp is a regen/recovery set, the rage crash isn't nearly as bad as it can be with other armors.
Honestly, I'd go with the km scrapper. Isos runs are good for running up sets you are unfamiliar with or are possibly weak combos because you don't have to solo them.
Now, I just have to figure out what to pair with electric on a troller.

Start in Praetoria (going to Paragon)
Start in Rogue Isles

Back to the beginning. This way you are not duplicating the same 1 to 20 content or the same 20-50 content in any two consecutive runs. It also ensures the group is not split between GR and Non-GR players for any two consecutive runs.

That, and I really didn't see anything that went well with elec that I wanted to do.

Bouncing between a KM/SR brute or an Elec/Elec dominator. Never played a dom before at all, but I'm more of a melee person. Anyone tried KM yet? Thoughts on it and SR. Or perhaps KM/EA.
<sigh> Viv says its no longer "all me".

Since it's open, does that mean I can come and not get booted again?

You should join up for one last go. You can't be offended every time someone boots you from the SG. DC booted me a while back and I got over it.

Nor the words I am using.
Nor any sentiment you are making up about it.
