Who's Your "Go-To" Character?
ss invuln brute !
Just for casual play, depends on my mood... but if I'm undecided (or am on a team that needs that little something extra), I grab my Cold/Rad.
Buff/debuff goodness, fun to play, and a character I love to RP (if that's involved at all)
Siberian Spring-50 (Cold/Rad, Rad/Ice, Ice/Rad, Sh/Ice) - KGB SS8
Chernozem-50 (Ice/MM, Emp/Ice, MA/Regen) - KGB SS8
Wila-50 (Dark/Arch) - KGB SS8
Also: Krassivy Mechtayu-50 (Ill/Rad) - KGB SS8; Ms. Hypatia-50 (Dark/Regen)
Of my 50s it's my main Razia (Ill/Rad) and my WM/SD Tank.
From the chars I level up it's usuallyl a scrapper or brute

Any toon i want to lvl up. But now its normally my Fortunata i log in to see whats around- cos mine is just pure awesome
My Go-To Character is my Peacebringer.
Proton Sentry Peacebringer:lvl 50+++ - Human Build / Triform Build
Quasar Sentry Warshade:lvl 50+- Human Build / Triform Build
Red Katipo Arachnos Soldier:lvl 50+++ - Crab Build / Bane Build
Black Katipo Arachnos Widowlvl 50+++ - Fortunata Build / Night Widow Build
For normal play, I rotate through all the various alts I have, my Huntsman, my Crab-to-be, my Fire/Dark Corruptor, BS/Shield Scrapper, DB/Elec Scrapper.... and on and on.
If I'm on a high level team that's having problems, or I'm going to try something I haven't done before that I think will be challenging, I grab my Dark/Dark defender. She always seems to be able to turn the tide Villainside, I go for my Fire/Dark corruptor or my huntsman when things ain't going well (depends on the team makeup and my perception of what's not working).
I have so many characters that it really depends on what we're doing, what is needed and what I haven't played lately. However, if I want to do something that is challenging or new, I almost always go for my Ill/Rad first. If not him, I go for my softcapped BS/Shield scrapper, my softcapped MA/SR scrapper, or my Warshade. After those, I go for my Ice/Ice Blaster, my Stone/Fire tank, my Dark/Elec Defender or my Ice/Storm controller.
But that's only on my main server. I have three other servers where I have level 50's.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)
Guide Links: Earth/Rad Guide, Illusion/Rad Guide, Electric Control
For new content it's typically my main FF/psi defender or Dark/Rad corruptor for any new shineys. But for anything else, now I just grab what is needed for the task or my latest project.

For me it all depends on what we're doing...
ITF: rad/elec defender
LGTF: DM/SR scrapper
5TF: AR/Dev blaster
STF: MA/WP scrapper (although often it depends on who has shivans already)
Badges: fire/stone tank
Villian SFs: DM/Inv brute
Farming: fire/kin troller
Mission Grinding: Whatever I'm leveling
Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

My own is a Mind/Psi dom...Mind/ doms can control really well through about all the game, and with exemplar-friendly slotting and the +5 power rule, there are few situations where the character isn't a game changer for a team. Drain psyche is a great healing/recovery power, and lets me survive what most doms couldn't. It works great as a great AV debuff as well.
That's villainside...on my hero server, I bring whatever is needed. (It's handy to keep an alt roster from every AT.)
If something absolutely has to die - my Fire/Dark Corr.
I have tanked the enite ITF with him and once in a team on the ITF the fire tank died at Rom.
I stepped in taunted the Nictus off (I have Provoke on him) and debuffed Rom and slowed him so we could take him down until Howling twilight was up so I could rez the tank.
The team afterwards sent me a bunch of tells asking for my build
I usually concentrate on one character until it his 50, then park it's ***. Then I pick something new, and start again.
I don't have enough time anymore to invest more then a couple of hours a night on the game, so TF's and SF are very rare.
For me, my fire/dark is just simply the most fun to watch tear through large groups. He is far from undefeatable and he has some real vulnerabilities, but there is nothing like watching huge groups cowering in fear, moving like molasses through tar patch and scourging like fireworks under RoF. Throw in a character concept that I really enjoy playing, and the immersion is second to none.
Some Established Villains:
Father McKenzie - Fire/Dark, Voltage Adapter - Elec/Nin
Some Established Heroes:
Sous Chef - DB/WP, Frost Advisory - Ice/Kin, Papa Xmas - Ice/FF, Bubbe - Sonic/Kin, Redeker Plan - Arch/Dev, Dr. Duplicitous - Ill/Kin
My go to character would have to be my WS. She is currently being IOed as far as my budget will allow, but i enjoy playing with the WS! Especially for teaming!
