Bad Team Bingo

1) Join a Pick up Team
2) Load a card
3) Check off squares you complete
4) Shout out "BINGO" in game if you win

The new version of Bad Team Bingo is set up for Going Rogue. The new version of Bad Team Bingo is more difficult. Accomplishing a "Bingo" is a rare and noble achievement worthy of epic bragging. Bad Team Bingo is for entertainment purposes only. One should read the squares in the proper tone of voice with tongue firmly planted in cheek. "If _______, you might be on a bad team". "If you are on a team with @Smurphy or @Chriffer you might be a redne--I mean might be on a bad team."

This thread is the official Bad Team Bingo thread. Please report feedback, bugs, issues, concerns, suggestions, and other comments here. This thread is also where official rulings for Bad Team Bingo squares will take place. Feel free to ask questions whether or not your team situations satisfies a specific Bad Team Bingo square.

Generally, the "spirit of the square" and NOT the "letter of the square" is the deciding factor. For example if a teammate says "Dude, I'm a 40 month Vet I got this" you could check off the "20 Vet Badges" square because the "spirit of the square" is satisfied. However, if you and a friend are on a team and you ask him to say "Bingo" and he does, you would not be able to check the "Another says Bingo" square despite the "letter of the square" being satisfied. Asking a friend violates the "spirit of the square": another person saying "Bingo" unexpectedly.

New and exciting Bad Team Bingo features are on the way!
Tell your friends to google for "Bad Team Bingo" to check it out, it is the top result.

Chriffer and I know exactly how you feel. Some of the squares are brutal and mean

Quote:
Also, isn't "suicidal scrapper" redundant?
Chriffer and I don't believe so. A scrapper who runs into a huge pack alone is simply "A scrapper". However, a scrapper who runs into huge packs alone, repeatedly, and dies is a "Suicidal Scrapper." That is the spirit of the card. An analogy would be "A Dog" and "Suicidal Dog". A dog who chases cars is a dog. That's just what dogs do. A dog who runs in front of cars is a suicidal dog.

Not sure why "A Stalker" is on the list. Most of the stalker I have played with are good players.

Some of that stuff is pretty funny. "Bring wakies" especially made me lol, not the best sign.

Ha, "Scouting" is a good one too. Get the hell back here and help us!

"Snipe"? I admit I don't usually like snipes myself, but my Rad/Dark actually uses Moonbeam in the middle of combat.

Great work.

Chriffer and/or myself have experienced something humorously terrible about each and every square. Some are sarcastic jokes and some are scenarios you may not have experienced yet. Also, there is broad interpretation for "spirit of the square". You may experience some ludicrous situation we've never imagined that you think may apply to a square. Post that situation here if you are unsure if you can check that square. We look forward to reading your silly encounters and realizing "yeah, guess that fits".

"The spirit of the square" is open to broad interpretation. One could interpret this square to be a sarcastic, stereotyped quip which one would respond with a rimshot or a sarcastic "har har har you are SOOO funny". Another interpretation is a player on the team commenting how bad Stalkers are while a Stalker on the team contributes greatly. A 3rd interpretation may be a Stalker who is terrible and an embarrassment to Stalker kind. All are valid.

As stated above, think broad interpretation for "the spirit of the card". I am unsure exactly what TGIF means but I will assume it means "Tank Goes in First". We had a specific scenario in mind with this square. This is the example in exaggerated form:

"You are on a team with a Tank. A player who is not the Tank, perhaps you, for some reason is separated from the team and solos 3 packs with ease. The Tank and some of the other team members attack a pack and the Tank gets obliterated and dies. The separated player returns to the group after defeating 3 groups in the time it takes the Tank's group to defeat one because the Tank is getting destroyed. The separated player offers "why don't I go in first". "No, you aren't a Tank. He's a Tank. Follow the Tank in." "Follow Tank" BINGO! Check off that square.

Dr. Quaterfield?
I think the examples of "broad interpretation" of "spirit of the square" handle most of these and "it's a sarcastic jab". A lot of the squares are obscure and ludicrous things. We wanted to toss in some more reasonable ones and/or freebies -- "I'm teamed with a Stalker - That gets a facetious Check!"

Ruined Sleep is sometime where someone uses a Sleep power with awesome affect. He just neutralized that boss that was coming out of nowhere the rest of the team didn't see. Someone aggro'd a 2nd pack and didn't engage them and now they are storming in from behind. Mass Hypnosis! Now the team has time to handle the initial group while the new enemies are safe asleep. Captain Atomic Hole sees the slept enemies and sends in his weak fireball doing 11 damage and waking up the entire gang. Great job Cpt. A-Hole. Ruined Sleep. BINGO! Check that square.

Mentioning Dr. Quaterfield gets a Bad Team Bingo square solely because Chriffer and I find it amusing that the mere mention of it earns you a square. We tried to toss in some other "stereotyped content" like sewers, frostfire, and Mayhem missions for good measure.

My Rad/Dark's alternate build is designed specifically to help with Dr. Quaterfield

I've teamed with @Chriffer and he's pretty awful. Would you believe he solos entire mobs on a stalker?! Even three month vets know stalkers are supposed to use one attack and then hide until the next mob.

This is great, nice job guys.

Here's hoping this doesn't get derailed into a "What do you mean I'm bad because I didn't take SB?!?!" I may not necessarily agree with every square* but the spirit of this game is in pure jest, so we should just relax and enjoy the show as it were.

*I totally agree that you'd be pretty crazy to not take SB.

Hmmm I don't understand the "Lacks Pure anything" square.

'Mayhem Mission Massacre'
One of the most memorable missions I ever did was a full PuG where the leader hadn't reduced his difficulty settings to something reasonable before entering the mayhem, so we were 8 level 15s or so running on Relentless. Half the team ended up in jail after the first Longbow ambush, and breaking out looked and sounded like the final scene of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

A total disaster, but great fun

Neither do I. Just a bad copy/paste job when I had a few in a row that were similar. It's been updated to "Pure Anything" like it should be. I updated the Copyright thing as well. Smurphy makes a bad secretary.

I was on a Bank mission where the mission holder was a Lv50 HEALER!!! who had his difficulty at maximum. We didn't even get *into* the bank before Ghost Widow showed up on the front steps and we had a team wipe.

The mission holder used a few *choice* and colorful metaphors, tried to figure out *why* Ghost Widow herself showed up, and then he rage quit!

On a positive note, though, a lowbie wound up as team leader and she really knew her stuff, so we had a fun afternoon once we got the previous debacle out of the way!

====================

BTW, at first, I read a square on my Bingo card as "Furry" rather than "Flurry". I would have had to check it for myself! OOPSY!

But you lose those Bonus Points (and your weight in Interwebz) because you did not make a witty comment about my (scratching) post, which is right above you!

Perhaps I just don't get the point here. Are you going for badge credit? Zerg rushing out of desperation? Fulfilling a rather unique concept? Purposely fighting way over your abilities in the hope that you'll win and therefore feel a high? Just that bored and over it all?

I don't think Smurphy's talking about throwing yourself into a crowd with your team right behind you, that's simply aggressive playing. He's talking about players who jump in and get themselves killed while the team is still loading into the map, or have all gone afk. With bonus points for jumping into a crowd of purples, find themselves approaching death from the alpha alone, then run back past the group and get everyone else killed instead.

The Going Rouge square is earned when a teammate misspells "Going Rogue." The square "Going Rouge" is simply the most common misspelling. Click "Search" at the top, click "Advanced Search", Search thread titles only, and type in "Rouge." This Link may do all that for you.

"I'm drnk" square simply represents any intoxicated teammate statements.

Everything quoted here is accurate. The quoted text is what I'm talking about. Amusingly, it is also an extremely accurate description of how I play every single character (including my Iron Eagles). Well, it is accurate except for the very last line. I don't run away and get shot in the back like a coward. I go down swinging.

*EDIT* Also, I believe when Kheldarn mentions that they believe they fall under "Suicidal Scrapper" that they fit into this description and run into packs and die. Sounds like me.

I love this. I think it'll always just be 'PuG bingo' in my head to justify all the 'is that actually bad teaming?' arguments, but I do have a question;

If we're actually playing this as a game, (which I'd love to), does each card last one playing session, one team, or as long as we need? I do like a challenge, but I don't want to cripple myself by making it just too hard.

Edit!: is "y u did it" meant to represent someone not understanding and constantly asking about something, or just bad grammar alone?
