Uh yeah! This is kinda like stumbling upon the proverbial fountain of youth.

I'll eat one if someone dares me to, just to find out if eating them makes me younger again.

Considering most jellyfish are poisonous it'll likely make you deader, not younger.

Considering your a rabbit, you can't talk... or type or even partake in this, so go away little I know everything about jellyfish!

I don't know a rabbit personally, so can't judge their knowledge about jellyfish. They may know everything there is to know about them. Then again, they may know nothing. The only way to find out is if I eat a jellyfish. If I die, they know something at least. If I live, they know nothing!

Aren't they venomous, not poisonous?

My pet rabbit never once allowed a jellyfish near it and lived to a ripe old age. Mrs JD's parents used to breed rabbits and they never ate jellyfish either.

With Blue's testimony the evidence is overwhelming: Rabbits are wise in the ways of gellatinous sea-beasties.

I just died, so that proves they know what they're talking about when it comes to jellyfish.

Depends Carni: some of them have contact poison (and thus are poisonous) and some have stingers with which they inject venom (and thus are venomous).

As a Portuguese, born and bred near a beach (it's 6KM away from my house) I've been stung and brushed against by more sea life than I care to remember. I don't particularly recommend the stinger of the Peixe Aranha (I don't know its name in English): it's a fish that buries itself in the sand and leaves its stinger out waiting for something to step on it... hurts like a "sun of a beach" (these are venomous by the way) or being brushed by some jelly fish which leave quite... interesting scars like the ones in this link

Fortunately for me, I've never been quite stung like the people on the images. I know when to get the heck out of the water if I see/sense any of those beasties around.

Some jellyfish can kill a person like this one http://library.thinkquest.org/C007974/2_1box.htm

And let's not forget this one, the Portuguese Man o' War... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portuguese_Man_o%27_War

Also, as JD said, us rabbits are wise: you have never seen a rabbit die from jellyfish contact...

Sounds like a Rockfish. Amazingly, they look like rocks and hide in sand with an adapted dorsal fin loaded with poison (or venom) sticking up. Hurts a lot and frequently fatal, IIRC.

From a little digging, it sounds more like a Weever

'Peixe Aranha' brought up this page, and following the Latin genus leads to the above page. And the habitat of Eastern Atlantic would definitely fit with Portugal.
