No only one.. every basic AT will get one new set ( HEAT and VEAT not included )

I like my doms even at low level, and even though I have more lvl 50 heroes than villains (because I only bought CoV much after CoH), I like the variety of playing both blueside and redside. I like redside especially when I get to St. Martial and those cool missions in Grandville, so I guess GR won't change that for me.

But, while I risk sounding like captain obvious... I keep seeing all these complaints about the black market... When it won't be an issue anymore come GR. I agree that the lack of SFs or more teams sucks for some people (not me, since I play almost entirely solo anyway), but the market will cease to be a problem once it's all joined... Just thought I'd point it out.

A lot of good stuff will happen for doms.

Please buff Ice Control.

The experiment was to run merit generating content, freeze at 30, and then IO out all the powers I had at 30 using the merits earned for random rolls and the market, once all powers had their recipies set aside, then unfreeze, go to level 35, and repeat, again at 40, then again at 45, and finally arrive at 50 fully IO'd.

I was doing that with a Plant/Thorn Dom and a Plant/TA controller since the builds would be comparable just to check and see how the speeds compared. Lack of teaming opportunities on red side, lack of TF content in the appropriate level ranges, and an anemic black market have pretty much made the experiment an exercise in frustration and I'm bringing it to a close without completing it.

The Plant/TA has been a fully IOd out level 50 for months, so I started an Earth/TA controller and it's a fully IOd 50 as well, I then started a Kin/Ice defender which is a fully IOd out 50 and the Sonic/Ice I started after that is a level 47 that has all the IOs waiting for when he hits 50. I started a Rad/Fire that's a level 35 now and will be unfreezing and moving on in 2 more pool C recipes.

The Dom is still level locked at 30 and has been for months. I got a Miracle +, and an Oblit Quad today after a Silver Mantis SF, and I'm still 9 Pool C recipes off of being able to switch to AE to generate the Pool As I need.

I'd like to say I spent the exact same amount of time playing on blue side as I have red side in this experiment, but that would be a lie. I've spent about 25% more time red side and am much less than 25% along on the build.

So when GR comes out all my villians, but especially my doms, are saying toodles permanently to the black market and the isles.

With the upcoming market merge....your dillema is going to become a thing of the past. There will be no need to move your Dominators blueside to get around lack of recipe availability, because everything will be available to everyone. So if you like playing redside, you won't have to move them unless you want to do so for other reasons.

I'm glad they did the merge as well claws b/c let's be honest we were going to loose A LOT of redside toons if the markets remain the same.

That was always my fear was that redside would become an absolute ghost town. All my villians are undercover heroes by design but now I wont need to ove them all the way to hero and back to vigilante. They can keep their " undercover " status by being a rogue ( which plays well theme wise for me ) and have access to the entire market.

What are your thoughts on ths ??
Had we not gotten that damage increase a few issues back I think doms would have been in trouble, at least the non-perma doms. Because blueside is so much easier we wont have to worry about PToD until the 40s and thats only in a few arcs, where as in the 40s redside its like every other mission. I think doms as well as stalkers will do extremely well with the changes.

Bump and Grind Bane/SoA
Kenja No Ishi Earth/Empathy Controller
Legendary Sannin Ninja/Pain Mastermind
Entoxicated Ninja/PSN Mastermind
Ninja Ryukenden Kat/WP Scrapper
Hellish Thoughts Fire/PSI Dominator

My thoughts exactly. I primarily play Doms (well ok I do occasionally log on a Brute, we all have our guilty pleasures). Because of this I have a special hatred of the PToD that many of my online friends can't understand. It may take me a while depending on how long it actually takes to switch sides, but eventually not one of my Dom's will remain in the Rogue Isles. And I will never start one there again.

I don't think doms will be having any problems...Actually they might get more popular.

Active (Freedom): Setna (Ice/Psi Dom), Arram (WP/KM Tank), Tesmiel (Elec/SS Tank), Astredax (Robot/Dark Mastermind), Operative Vidali (melee fortunata)

Retired (Virtue): Gaav (Inv/EM Tank), Baqra (Fire/SS Tank)

I expect no problem with Doms. Many people I know NEVER play redside at all. Some of the AT's they see on TF's but thats about it. I expect that many people will be surprised at how effecient some of the villian AT's can be.

Doms are kind of thought of it seems as the ******* child of villianside and i think many people will have their eyes opened.

I'll be making a lot of Doms once the expansion releases.

There's going to be a massive amount of people starting in Praetoria the first week or so, so I'm going to join the huge amount of teams forming and soak up the exp while the getting's good. I really only get attracted to my Doms after their early twenties, at which point they're asfgjdfjgkl awesome.

There are a few Doms that I've been wanting to make for a while, Mind/Fire especially, but low level Redside keeps me away.

I think Dominators and Stalkers sort of suffer from the same two problems--"difficult" to use and content undermines their abilities. I can easily see the ability to switch to blueside as a massive "buff" to Dominators due to the decreased number of status resistant mobs.

I must just be odd in the Dom community. I easily leveled my grav/nrg to 50 back BEFORE the damage buff, and have several others ranging from the mid 20s to mid 40s. They are my 2nd favorite redside AT (after MMs).

Then again, it may have a lot to do with the leveling pattern I use with them, learned after a leveling crisis in the early 20s on my first (the aforementioned grav/nrg) and an inspired respec. In short, I stopped building them as doms in the 1-20 range, and built them more like blasters. I skipped the single-target immob Crush (forever), taking the other, generally more damaging soft-control (knockdown) power, Lift. When my single-target hold (Gravity Distortion) and AoE immob (Crushing Field) became available, I took those as well. And alongside the "usual" mix of fitness/travel/etc stuff, I took EVERY available ranged damage attack from my secondary. After that, everything changed for the vastly better, and I filled out my primary to supplement my now much more impressive damage-dealing, taking the other ranged damage secondaries as they became available.

Needless to say, YMMV, but this methodology has worked for every other Dom I've played since.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

I would take a skilled Dominator over Blaster any day but it's just me. I don't know what they've done for Blaster after I quit but with Dominator's new damage scale, there is no reason why Dominator can't compete with Blaster on a team. Dom has aoe and decent melee attacks and the best controls during Domination and even better mez protection. The pets add damage too! Blaster has better burst aoe but Dominators are not that far behind IMO.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I've already decided I'm taking a few doms blueside, no matter what, just because I like the dom playstyle. I'm looking forward to a mixed Con/Dom team.

I'm looking forward to some of the new app options that might open up. If all goes to plan we should get some more thematic matches for fire, ice, mental, and energy based characters.

I'm making an elec/elec, Preatorian Dom right off the bat. I guess we'll see what he ends up as, but I'm aiming at a hero.

I have in the last few days only just realised that my builds with primary could be different for doms, simple because containment isnt a factor. Doms i have made, and deleted in the past have played the primary like a troller, and not like a damage dealer. So i will make a Dom, probably electric Control, for GR, and have him go blue.
This is of course a common misconception about what all of the Villian AT's "roles" are. I didn't care much for dom's at first either, since I too played it like a controller. When I discovered how much damage a dom was capable of mixed in with awesome controls I was sold. I remember at level 35 (sk'd to 50 of course) being able to confuse Magus' during a rikti raid with domination going...no controller I played could have done that. So I understood how Dom's, like other vill AT's were multi-capable (doubltful thats a word but I'll use it). Also I was turned down from an itf on my ss/invul brute becuase the leader was looking for DPS and not a tank. I lauged and said I am dps and was still turned away. With the amount of damage I put out I make tanks cry . With GR coming up and a lot of vills side-switching I think its going to take a while for many people to come to grips with the awesomeness (again not a word but I'll use it :P) that Vills are capable of.

P.S. I <3 Stalkers too

I'm mainly planning on taking/making some doms blueside since I have plenty redside (just as I plan to take controllers redside). Elec/Psi, Plant/Earth are two heroic dominators I already have character concepts for.

I already have 7 doms at 50, but I doubt I will make anyone of them a hero, rather rogue or vigilante if I switch.

For new characters in general I will probably start on the "opposite" side with any of them and after that will see what happens. It will be at least one new dom for elec control.
