Low Level AE Missions or Arc Suggestions

Are there any suggestions out there for low level AE missions or AE Story Arcs.

Say a 1-10 range and/or a 11-20 range.

I've decided to try the whole Level your guy from 1-50 in the MA concept (not original I know) but man it is tough to find a decent low level mission...I do not have much experience in the MA so it could just be my lack of search skills so I figured I would throw it out here to see if there was already an existing thread/list of missions that are tailored to that range that are also good missions and not just a series of Debuff heavy opponents waiting to make my missions about as much fun as standing 10 feet deep in caltrops.

Thanks for any leads you can provide.

Most of the arcs written for Dr. Aeon's second challenge would fit this and all I have played were very good. Mine is:

Suppression
Arc ID: 374481
Keywords: Solo Friendly, Save the World, Magic
Morality: Heroic
Level range: 5-15

I would love for you to play it, but I need to warn you that mission 1 was hit by the latest "fix" and so you will get low XP from it. The other missions are fine. If I can find the link to the entries, I will post it here for you.

Enjoy

RD,

You may want to check out Bubbawheat's thread about Dr. Aeons Second Challenge arcs which were all 5-10 (though some go a little higher than 10 now). Here is a link.

I started doing this before I got distracted by shiny objects, here are a couple that aren't too tough and are good:

Mercytown #6701: The best lowbie arc I have played so far.
The Lazarus Project #124906: Not too tough if you don't mind Vahz.
Talos Vice #338380: It's like Miami Vice in CoH. Exactly as awesome as it sounds.
Bricked Electronics #2180: Solid story, standard foes.
Dream Paper #1874: Solid story, standard foes.

I really should get back to that project....

My Chris Jenkins arc (see sig) is level 1-14. Uses Hellions so no worries about custom critters and is only one mission long.

You can also click the button that says "my level" and press search again.

Which excludes all the 1-54 custom critter arcs that inevitably show up when you click "My level."

#1345: Jumping in Feet First, is for 1-9.
#61013: The Invasion of the Bikini-Clad Samurai Vampiresses From Outer Space is 5-25, a bit on the hard side but I've done it with a defender straight out of outbreak

You might like trying my "City of Ho Ho Ho, or A Claus in Paragon," arc 18775. It's levels 5-20, fairly fun, three missions, and, I'm told, has that good kooky old school Christmas special vibe to it. Go save Santa from the Outcasts and Trolls today!

My lowest is "Two Households Alike" (#126582) at 25-29. The AV/EB at the end is pretty nasty, though I did clear this arc with a plainly-slotted L28 or 29 (I forget now) Storm/Electric Defender (long before the recent Vigilance buff).

Eva was kind enough to mention one of my low level arcs, but if I do have two others designed specifically for low level play (the IDs are in my sig.)

Learning the Ropes (1-10, I think) is not only designed for low level play, it's actually intended as an alternative to the 'starting contact' arcs. It's a bit no-frills, but it's gotten a lot of positive feedback.

Cracking Skulls is level 1-14, and frankly, could use plays. I don't think it's bad at all (and I am more than willing to say that some of my arcs - granted I typically don't advertise them - I just made for fun, and aren't really 'good' in the grand scheme of things), but has been utterly unable to claw its way out of four-star-hell and, as a result, never gets played.

M.A. Arcs
Intended for high level play: The Primus Trilogy (Arc #s 10931, 283821, 283825), "Freakshow U" (Arc #189073), Purification (Arc #352381, Dev's Choice! )
Intended for low level play: "Learning the Ropes" (Arc #100304), "Cracking Skulls" (Arc #115935), "The Lazarus Project" (Arc #124906)

"How to Be a Successful Professional Criminal" (#401500) is designed for levels 1-10 and gives you a variety of villains to fight (Trolls, Infected, & Family, mainly). It has a nice little story, spread over 5 missions.

Please try my arcs:

Arc# 63910 "Why Do Bad Girls Like Bad Boys?" (length=Long, levels 40+)
Arc# 401500 "How to Be a Successful Professional Criminal" (length=Very Long, levels 1-10)

Ran Learning the Ropes – Arc ID 100304 to start things off.

Total missions: 5 but none of them are overly long and are very well balanced. Excellent first exposure to the hero world feel.

Total time: Approximately 1 hour including the time it took to check if my wife was back from the store to determine whether or not I have to go for the Exit Now option while quitting the game. (I know not very heroic but sometimes discretion is the better part of valor as they say...some of those husbands and boyfriends out there know what I'm sayin'...wink)

The arc took me from level 3.5 to 5.9. I am not overly concerned with how fast I level but am more concerned with having a good time doing it.

I thought this arc was Fun stuff - Great starter missions with excellent exposure to many of the various mob types. The fifth mission was definitely the best mission. Story arc was cohesive and made sense unlike some of missions I found prior to coming to the forums where it appeared my goal was to save some unwitting customers (read: Johns) from their suddenly criminal acting service providers (Read: ...well you know what I mean).

Anyway back to it and thanks again for the info.

Ran Mercytown – which has an Arc ID of 6017 (in lieu of 6701)

Total missions: 5

Total time: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes

The arc took me from level 5.9 to 7.1.

Wow Eva was right...that arc is outstanding.

It is a villain side arc so if you are a hero you sort of feel like you have sand (or maybe shards of coral pieces) in your shorts while going through it but it is very good. The clues are well written and are worth reading to keep the story moving forward...don't just get the clues and move on...take a moment to check them out. Loved it!

Ran Jumping in Feet First – Arc ID 1345

Total missions: 3

Total time: Approximately 35 minutes

The arc took me from level 7.1 to 7.8.

Good fun on this one as well. So far this is the one that has put me closest to "death".

You all prolly have no interest in my feedback but I'm having a good time so feel free to skip my quick summary arc review posts....I am mostly putting them in here for my own reference information. Either way be sure to have a great day.

Ran Suppression - Arc ID: 374481

Total missions: 5

Total time: Approximately 120 minutes including some laundry interuptions

The arc took me from level 7.8 to 9.1.

Great fun on this one. It reminds me of one I saw a long time ago when AE was testing called Wizard of Oddz....I wonder if that one is still around. Anyway really a good time on this one..I suffered my first few deaths...very even challenge and level appropriate. Well thought out story line and resolution. Thanks for suggesting it.

Ran Chris Jenkins: Attorney at Law - Arc ID 204942

Total missions: 1

Total time: Approximately 20 minutes

The arc took me from level 9.1 to 9.4.

Awesome funny mission....just great. Loved the humor. Highly recomended on this one. You will enjoy this one.

Well thats it for this week. Thanks again all.

I have two low level arcs, both listed in my sig.

DayJob Hell is for villains 1-10 and gets them off to a roaring start by taking revenge on a crappy boss and betraying your lazy friends who'll never make it as a real villain like you will.

A Wake For Dead 6 is for heroes 5-10 and was created for Dr. Aeon's second challenge, detailing how you met a mysterious hero named Dead 6 who started you on your career by teaching you what it means to be a real hero.

If you play either of them, I hope you enjoy them.

Well, I'll jump on the bandwagon of self-promotion and suggest #61156, "Grim and the Green". It's made for Lv1-14 and I've been getting fairly positive feedback so far. If you want extra detail on the arc itself, check the OuroPortal link in my signature.

Don't be so sure! One: I guarantee you just about anybody who suggested an arc here will probably check back from time to time just to see if you've played it, and what you had to say - after all, it's human nature to want to see if somebody else enjoyed your work.

And I'd guess that you've got a whole lot more people "looking" than responding. Nothing at all unusual about that.
